Does anybody know what the musical device is called when two songs in a musical, opera, etc are meant to blend and be sung together?
(Example: 76 Trombones and Goodnight from Music Man... or in terms we'll understand Locke and Celes theme from FF6.)
I know Counterpoint is when two songs are mixed, but i think there is a more specific term for that kind of a blend. _________________ Current Avatar commissioned work by Seiken Arts.

A mashup?
Or are you thinking of quodlibet? I guess that's a fancier word for it. _________________

Not quite a mashup, but quodlibet sounds about right... still I thought it was something less difficult to pronounce. _________________ Current Avatar commissioned work by Seiken Arts.
