Okay my little sister got me into this series of songs that were made using the game Vocaloid.
For those of you that don't know, Vocaloid is a game where you can write your own JPOP songs, with (funny enough) actual vocals by the game's fictional protagonist Miku Hatsune. The blue-haired, onion sprig wielding singer can sing lyrics in both japanese and english and from what I understand the functionality is similar to Magix Music Maker or FL Studio.
It was developed by Yamaha, and apparently is actually the second game in the series... I'm not sure what happened here. Oh, another fun tidbit, the transliteration of Miku Hatsune is "Sound of First Future".
This is the games Wikipedia page
Here are some of the songs that she showed me.
Miku Hatsune sings Ievan Polka
This is probably my favorite because it's a completely new sound. It's JPOP scat techno. It's pretty cool.
The Empty Stomach Song
This is another good one, because it's the perfect blend of serious and funny and has a nice mellow sound to it. It'll remind you guys of a mix between the kind of music you'd hear in Azumanga Daioh with Yuffie's theme from FF7. (and when I say you guys, I mean rainichan who is probably the only person on this board besides me who's watched Azumanga Daioh.)
Sugar Chocolate Waffle
This song is upbeat and hilarious, although I think this song is more about the animation that goes with it than the song itself. Still a good one though.
There's another one she showed me about a girl with a helicopter for a head, but I can't find it. _________________ Support me on Patreon!

I didn't think Vocaloid was a game though, just a sound mixer used by Yamaha. They have the personalities and all, but hey.
There's also a bunch more for different synth voices, like Gakupon (based off of lol Gackt), Lin and Len (I believe), Luka, and Kaito. Kaito is my favourite. Why? Because of this. I love this song. XD _________________

It wasn't a game to start with, but there is a game now...

Ah yes, the PSP version. I think that's the only true "game" to it. It got super popular in Japan, right? _________________
