Apparently, someone stole the Godfather of Soul's corpse, which also apparently, hadn't been buried yet because his masoleum hadn't been finished. Meaning, his corpse had been hanging around somewhere, unburied, for the last four years.
...And don't tell me you've never heard of James Brown.
EDIT: Apparently the URL feature isn't properly working here, so if you want to read the article, you'll have to copy/paste the entire link into your browser- don't click it. _________________ "...at first it's fine and you think you have a dark side – it's exciting – and then you realise the dark side wins every time if you decide to indulge in it. O...k. There's a piece of news you don't hear often.
The main question is, obviously, why someone would want the body. But an equally important question is why they still haven't buried him properly yet. Over 3 years, and they're still not ready? _________________

Yeah - 4 years to finish a mausoleum? OK, he's probably been stored at a funeral home in the meantime, but that's a loooooong time for the construction to take. I saw several nice new large houses get put up at the end of my road in a period of, oh, say, maybe 6 months - a year, tops. One mausoleum is taking that long?
As for why someone would want to steal James Brown's corpse, well they probably were an obsessive James Brown fan to begin with, so they think that being in possession of his corpse would be like having the ultimate piece of James Brown memorabilia. They're just a tad unhinged, is all.
Or maybe they just wanna make bad jokes at the corpse, like "So who's got Soul now, hmm?"
(OK, please feel free to pretend that last sentence never happened.... O_O) _________________

Could also be someone looking to make money off of his body. Also, if you read the article, the body wasn't stored at any funeral home- it was in his daughters home. >>;
And don't be worried over insensitive jokes- someone commented on the original article with "Papa's got a brand new (Body) bag" _________________ "...at first it's fine and you think you have a dark side – it's exciting – and then you realise the dark side wins every time if you decide to indulge in it. He needs a mausoleum so bad that he'd get stored away for four years?

He was stored at his daughter's home? Okay, that is mondo creepy....I'm gonna stipulate that when I die, if anything holds up my burial*, then I will certainly NOT be stored at my child's home! There's some things that should not be kept in or near a house, and a body is one of 'em.
(I understand that burial space is running out in large parts of the UK; I will be cremated and then a small urn of my ashes buried instead, not a full-sized coffin. Saves space. ^.^;;;;;;;;; _________________
