Funny you should mention that. The battle progressed interestingly...

I was forced to switch to my Gastly during my battle with Miltank. I started off with Confuse Ray, then continued with Curse and Hypnosis. The battle was over quickly. She never even got to use Rollout, which killed me several times in the original game.

mine would have proceeded smoothly, if poisonpowder/sleep powder from my (at the time) skiploom didnt miss 5 times in a row... that and quilava failing to attack through attract another 5 times in a row, while whitney's miltank stomped the shit out of him.

Currently on my way to Cianwood.

Got a Quilava, Quagsire, Haunter, and Scyther all at Lv 27, and my Pokedex sits at approx. 45.

I'm planning on getting a Scizor as soon as I can get a Metal Coat, and I'm thinking about adding Girafarig once I get to the Lake of Rage (and maybe a Lanturn as well...). How is everyone else doing?

still the same as last post. only done some stuff with my pokewalker (as in i caught something on there). pokedex is sitting on about 9. i might start catching random pokemon soon, and sorting them by box like i always do.

also, you could probably get your metal coat from the pokeathlon, right? i got my king's rock from there, for slowking.

and another thing, do you have wifi on your ds? that would be awesome.

minigames are addictive.

the pokeathlon is basically a mini mario & sonic at the olympic games, and the voltorb flip game which has replaced the casino is quite addictive (and frustrating, at times).

whats your friend code?

and in terms of levels, im sitting at lvl31 slowpoke (will be slowking next time im on TE), lvl33 jumpluff, lvl38 typhlosion. i just beat pryce.

i tend to level 3 pokemon at a time, its easier to manage and you dont end up underlevelled. plus, i dont even know what my 6th pokemon will be. number 4 and 5 will be nidoking and pidgeot.

well 2moros the big release day for me. im goin to get it as soon as the shop opens. already paid for it a week ago. got my 3 pokemon im gonna use for my party ready to trade over. all there evs maxed for wat i need =D took me ages lol

cant expect to beat you then. because if youve EV'd, your team is actually professional standard.

and here i am with typhlosion, slowking, jumpluff, pidgeot, nidoking. mostly NU, unless i miss my guess.

that aside, progress report:

started raising a 4th pokemon, game is becoming too easy for just 3. about to go through ice path, with lvl30 pidgeotto, lvl32 slowking, lvl34 jumpluff and lvl41 typhlosion.

main problem at the moment is that jumpluff is a staller, and slowking is just slow. and pidgeotto is living off the exp share. coming soon: nidoking. dont know who will be my 6th.

wooo got my game just now! let the adventure begin!! =D ive got a 3 fully ev trained pokemon including machamp(machoke atm), Ninjask, and Salamence(Shelgon atm)
Machamp will be using the rest talker moveset
Ninjask is using Classic baton pass V1 moveset
Salamence is using Mixmence moveset.
hopefully playing through the story with these will let me see more clearly there weaknesses, and which other 3 pokemon to have in my party at the end.

with a baton passer, you wont see any difficulty at all. except if you dont have the badges to use them.

update: i beat clair, and realised that of my 4 (now 5) pokemon, i have a distinct lack of anything that can reliably deal with water pokemon.
