ninetales' special attack stat is just higher than its attack stat. neither move gets STAB, and neither has what one could call brilliant coverage.

id go extrasensory, mainly because it hits neutral on water pokemon. steel is NVE against them, and they will be more of a threat than rock pokemon (as extrasensory hits neutral on them). plus, 75 accuracy sucks. it misses a lot, usually when you dont want it to.

but yeah, if you have something else to deal with rock pokemon fairly easily, id pick extrasensory.

Just defeated Clare myself, the first and only gym leader that gave my team trouble. Iv done it a bit differently to you guys, I had a complete 6man team by the 8th guy; only to realise water kicks my ass.

My team is

lvl 34 Steelix (SolidSnake) - This guy made the early gyms trivial, nothing could hurt him
lvl 35 Quilava (Charcoal) - 1 level until hes good again! been lacking for awhile now
lvl 35 Scizor (Slicer) - Crazy attack, he was taking down things so dam fast
lvl 36 Pidgeot (Pecker) - Tradition, always have to have a Podgeot
lvl 37 Gyarados - If it wasent for this guy, id of been Clairs bitch
lvl 37 Pupitar (Rex) - The most OP pokemon I have, this guys does a tonne of damage; and he eats it up aswell.

Not in team - some crab HM bitch! Razz

Water pokemon are my only real weakness with this current team; the only counter I have is Gyarados.

logically, kingdra should have walked all over you. i dont know how you did it. i had a lvl40-something party when i beat clair. and had nothing against water, so my leech seeder had to do everthing =\

Gyarados two shot the dragonaires with ice fang; and then I used my other pokemon as fodder while I healed my Gyarados as he was the only one I had that could last more then two attacks against Kingdra, was a very long battle.

I wondered...how are the new Pokémon editions like? I played red (and yellow) and silver, and in both games, it was enough to play the whole game with your starter Pokémon, and train it to lvl 100...

woo just beat the elite four the 2nd time round. and lances lvl 72 salamence was a real pain as i had no easy moves to beat it, n it had a super effective moveset vs my entire party. but yeah beat em with Ninjask lvl 94, Machamp 77, salamence 76

yeah, i can see that one being quite a long battle. you wouldnt have had dragon dance? because that would have been quite helpful.

@Dark_Gaia: GET YOUR WIFI WORKING SO I CAN HAVE A NINCADA! shouldnt ninjask have just pwnd everything?

@Blade: its still similar. the less pokemon you raise, the easier it is. as long as you can hit for at least neutral on most types, you can coast through the game with 2 pokemon.
