I'm reading this book called Hearts In Atlantis, about the Vietnam War- at least, the things it did and how it effected people. Soldiers kill in the name of "Peace" and "Wartime rules" but really some of them do it simply to fill themselves with God. I've come to believe people only kill if they feel powerless, because taking a life means you're controlling someone elses life, and with that, their destiny. You don't just destroy their life, you destroy everything they would've ever become. _________________ "...at first it's fine and you think you have a dark side – it's exciting – and then you realise the dark side wins every time if you decide to indulge in it. My opinion is that we are not presented enough background information to make a fair assumption. It's like you can show a video of a cop beating the hell out of a person, and just see that, and not see the guy try to shoot him two minutes earlier. _________________ Current Avatar commissioned work by Seiken Arts.

In a funny turn of events, the government seem to have "misplaced" the video of this incident. They are looking for it and cannot find it- just read this on AOL news. _________________ "...at first it's fine and you think you have a dark side – it's exciting – and then you realise the dark side wins every time if you decide to indulge in it. Yeah, but do you have any idea how many hours of footage are taken by all the military vehicles at any given time? My dad was a soldier and he knows that stuff like this happens. And when you can't instantly produce a video of an event people say you're "altering it" or you "misplaced it".
To be perfectly frank, I have not lost any sleep over this video. _________________ Current Avatar commissioned work by Seiken Arts.
