Well, it's been three days and I've already logged in 10 hours of gameplay. Seriously, I'm lovin this game. But then, the original Silver took over 150 hours of my life, so it was to be expected.
Currently, I have a Quagsire (Zola), Quilava (Darmani), Gastly (Ghini), and a Heracross (Snifit 4). Still unsure about the Heracross... May go with Scizor instead.
So how is everyone else enjoying the games?
[oh, and bonus points to the first person to catch the "Snifit 4" reference] _________________

I haven't gotten to them yet, but I might one of these days. There's some other stuff in line to be played first, so it may be a while before I get to that.
And Snifit 4? That's the Apprentice from Mario RPG.

if you want to see how it evolved, you should get heartgold or soulsilver. its the same game as the original g/s, but using the new engine, massive improvements to some parts, and a whole load of sidequests.
if you just want a new pokemon game, go platinum. although i think hgg/ss are so much better, its because i knew how awesome the originals were, and id played the gen4 games before. _________________

i wanted to get platinum when it came out, but i was supposed to earn it, and didn't i was wanting to know if i should get heartgold or soulsilver, but i dont think it matters much since they're basically clones of each other.. |

Well, do you want to get Ho-Oh or Lugia first? That's mostly what it boils down to.

My friend got the playguide for hg/ss and it only has the pokemon from the original gold n silver, and also it doesnt even have a section on the kanto region. Are all 493 pokemon in the remakes? or is there only 300 like the old ones? cos that would suck. i want all of them! |

of course it has all 493. there are means to get most of them in the game, too. well, a decent number. what with the poke-walker and the other stuff theyve chucked in.
also, update on my gameplay. whitney is a hacker. she is banned.
on a lighter note, i have 4 badges, a lvl30 quilava and a lvl27 jumpluff. and still carrying slowpoke in my pocket. _________________

It's going to be a 2-part guide just like it was for Diamond and Pearl. The Kanto region, post-game events, and the remainder of the Pokedex are going to be in the second book. _________________
