Fanart reference pix?

I know there are pictures out there of certain TN characters, but what about the rest of them?

I ask because at the moment, I'm trying to find something to use as a reference image so that I can commission a bust portrait of Fyda....but it seems nobody likes her enough to have drawn anything of her.

Sprites are okay, but you can't tell much in the way of detail from a 16x8 sprite, no matter how good your eyesight may be. Does anyone know of any fanart for Fyda (...and for any of the other lesser characters, come to that)?

Terranigma porn? Ooh, was it the one of Meilin getting eaten out by one of the zombies from Louran? I've seen that on Rule34.Paheal.net before.

Thanks for finding those two pics, Psychokind - I'd actually seen that second one before, on, um, Cherub's site (was that the person's name?) but I couldn't find the address again. The pencil pic is awesome too, was that from the same place? (I don't remember seeing it, but I might've skipped over by accident).

I don't think there was official art of Fyda, there certainly isn't any of her in the TN art section of this very site.

I'm also considering commissioning a Granstream Saga pic for teh fun of it. ^^

Cheers Psychokind! That is so cool! It looks nothing like the manual that I downloaded (which I think is the English manual....or maybe the Aussie manual)

Beruga looks really evil (he doesn't appear in the version I d/led, Meihou looks a little bit senile XD and Meilin....actually, TBH, she makes me think of Pippi Longstocking.

Having a good pic of Perel and Royd/Perry and Roy (which are much better names, why do English translations suck so hard? ) could also be a bonus later, I was thinking at one point about some couples pics, maybe Royd/Fyda and Meilin/Perel.

I imagine "Royd" is just a really terrible bastardization of "Lloyd" that the translators... didn't get. Perel I'm not too sure about.

And speaking of Meilin, that's a different one then. I saw Ark/Elle myself.

Royd is either a bastardisation of Lloyd (Ls and Rs), or of Roy. XD Perel could quite easily be a botched transliteration of Perry.

Honestly, look at that picture of Meilin and tell me it doesn't look like Pippi Longstocking.

Oh yes definitely, for pairings in Terranigma, the best solution is:
Ark/Elle (either Elle, depending on which you like more)
Fyda/Royd
Meilin/Perel.
There, everyone neatly paired off. Well, except for Will, but he's too busy inventing stuff. ^_^

More reason for me to blast through the Japanese version, I guess. I don't know the Japanese names, aside from "Aruku" for Ark. But "Lloyd" in Japanese would be "Roido" or ロイド in Katakana, I think (it makes sense to me, but I may be wrong) so I can see where "Royd" would be translated. Silly translators.

As for Perel, "Perry" would be ペリー or "Perii" (or possibly "ペーリー"/"Peerii", I'm not sure, though the first seems more plausible) in Kana, so I have no bleedin' clue what his name is in Katakana, since "Perel" would most likely be "ペレル" or "Pereru".

i never thought about 'Royd' being weird, i kinda just accepted it. i mean he is referred to as Roy in the drugged-up fantasy world in astarica... screw revelations, ark just gets high and stumbles into a treasure chest.

Also, slightly corrupted names make for more memorable characters - look at the names of final fantasy characters, hardly any of them are what one would call average.

i used to check the random stuff at cherubae's site before i came here, so i know it as well. some fanart on there is pretty decent, while some other looks like a 5 year old did it in mspaint.

the meilin from the german manual is just ugh... looks like shes being portrayed by a 30-something yearold actor. but then again that art in general is pretty bad, everyone looks too old and lumpy.

Yeah....now I look at it again, the picture of Roy in the German manual appears to be depicting Jeremy Irons in full armour and Morlock make-up! (if you've seen The Time Machine, you should know what I mean).
