Author's Note: For those of you who didn't know, last October I had a thread that became the origin of the TE: DnD. This was a choose your own adventure that evolved DnD elements. It was called Zombie Holocaust.

This is the story of the five participants, Rainichan, Freedan, Chicken, Blade and EverPhoenix. I have broken it down into just the story segments so that it is readable.

Hopefully those of you who do read will be encouraged to sign up for Version 2, which will be starting sometime in August!

Enjoy!

---

Introduction
You're stuck in a house. This house has renewable energy, water, and food indefinitely. You are not living the high life, but you are surviving. Everywhere outside this 3 floor house (ground floor, first floor and basement) lay zombies.
In 48 hours, the house will be overtaken. Your safe haven destroyed. You will have to brave the Zombie Holocaust.
Welcome to Zombie Holocaust, the Choose Your Own Adventure style game for multiple players. Each persons story will be different. They may intersect or they may end up meeting very different fates.
I will tell you a story and you choose your actions. Happy Halloween everybody.

Round 1: Shattered Sanctuary
9:00 PM
The house is dark now, save for a fire burning in the fireplace. The four men who took shelter within its walls when they came are now prepared to make their next move. A large mass of them have been huddled outside of the house for almost a day now... and with a smash a nearby window is broken by a large one of them. The men scatter into action, only sure of one thing.
This house is no longer safe.
Chicken can tell that they are surrounded, and knows something the others do not... in the basement there is a boiler room which leads to the sewers. He rushes to the basement and opens the door. There is a master light switch here. It will light his path through the sewers, but also call attention to him... he does have a flashlight... but is it worth the risk?
Freedan runs into the garage, where a pickup truck is. He knows this would seat all of them, but his acquaintances have run off to different areas of the house. Does he regather them and risk his own life or drive off without them? Also, there is only a small tank of gas in the truck... how far the truck would get him, he was not certain.
EverPhoenix runs to the kitchen and tries to think. He knows about the truck in the garage AND the basement sewer route... but he also wants time to gather supplies from the house. With his friends distracting the zombies he might be able to scrounge up some extra goods... or he could be left to die.
Blade sets a barricade in front of the window that was shattered and lifts his shotgun. Looking out the rear window he sees only a handful of zombies. If he could shoot them out, he could begin running to the next house over, which has a car and other supplies. But if he could brave going out the front door, he might be able to push through the zombies and head to the gun store across the street, where he can pick-up some fire power. Granted there isn't much left after the massive looting, but there's bound to be something left....

Round 2: Fight or Flight
10:00 PM
Freedan barges back into the main center of the house and shouts that he has found a way house. Blade and EverPhoenix turn and take note of Freedan's advisement. Even Chicken in the basement takes heed...
Chicken hears a low guttoral sound coming from the back of the sewers. There are undoubtedly some of them. However if they drive the truck, there is no telling how far they'll get.
Freedan explains to Blade and EverPhoenix that the truck has about 2 gallons of gas, and it could get them as far as 40 miles. But if they didn't find a save pass in that time, they'd be screwed. There is a spare tank of gas in the back of the truck. That would give them another 22 miles, but it might also be a good idea to create a wall of flame with the gas to cover their escape.
EverPhoenix grabs a kitchen knife and straps it to his side. He also grabs pack of cigarettes, and a lighter. He hears Freedan tell him about the nearby truck.
As Blade prepares to set out the back door Freedan stops him and tells him about the truck. It would be safer to travel in a pack, but then splitting up might also be a good idea...
Raini sees the four men scurry about in the house, acting in their mortal way as though they are plotting and planning. Her hordes had beset them well and soon the men would be leaving the house.

Round 3: Road Kill
11:00 PM
As Chicken re-enters the living room a large horde of the shambling zombies burst in the room from behind him. He ducks as EverPhoenix takes the front one down with his axe. There is no more time to plan as they run towards the truck. Blade is the last to enter the garage, firing two shells into the zombies and then barricading the garage door behind them.
Freedan quickly adds the last tank of gas to the truck while Blade opens the door. Chicken hops in the shotgun and begins to hotwire the car. EverPhoenix taps Chicken on the shoulder and hands him the key. Chicken grunts in approval (and slight embarassment) and starts the truck, sliding over into the driver's seat. Freedan and Blade slide in the back, EverPhoenix takes the passenger seat and they drive out of the garage.
Chicken drives down the road and they discuss their options. Around them in the various suburban houses are zombies gathering in hordes around certain houses. They know that there must be other survivors, but they are in no position to help anyone at the moment.
"Hey!" Chicken notes. "We could head to the mall. There's bound to be more people there and we can gather some supplies."
"I don't know... I've heard that the hospital has been barricaded and all the survivors are heading there," EverPhoenix adds.
"What about the community center? That place is closer and they probably need some help evacuating," Freedan suggests.
"We can't help anybody in our current condition!" Blade says. "Let's take a vote."

Raini sighs with annoyance as she sees the men escape the house. "Oh well," she sighs. "There will be another time." Raini looks at the three places of interest. The mall, the hospital and the community center. They all have survivors, and the hospital seems the best defended... Where should she strike first?

Round 4: Terror In Aisle 5
12:00 AM
Chicken pulls into the mall and sees the parking lot surprisingly empty. He pulls the truck up to the door and takes the keys with him. Blade and Freedan jump out of the back, and EverPhoenix breaks open the mall doors with his steel pipe.
Chicken volunteers to go search for survivors, and Blade goes with him. EverPhoenix runs in the direction of the CVS to gather medical supplies and food while Freedan heads in the direction of the hunting supply stores to grab some weapons...
On a television broadcast in a nearby radio shack, they hear a news story that the hospital has been overrun by them.
"It's a good thing we didn't head there," Blade observes.
"Okay, let's get a move on. Grab what we need and get out. That's only two blocks from here," Freedan says.
Chicken enters the Radio Shack and sees a store clerk. The clerk gestures silently to the back room where three women and one man are waiting in silence.
"What's going on?" Chicken whispers.
"They can hear us if we talk," says one of the women.
"What are they? The zombies?" Blade asks, entering. He turns to Chicken. "The lane is clear."
"No... it's..." a man whispers but is cut off by a loud howling sound that reverberates through the mall.
"They're coming!" The store clerk shrieks. He runs for the exit but a large hairy figure jumps in front of him and bites his throat. The clerk falls back to the ground dead.
"Is that a fuckin' werewolf?" Blade shouts.

Freedan busts open the window of the second floor hunter supply store. The place has already been ransacked, but he manages to find a box of 20 shells for Blade's shotgun, a 9mm Pistol and 30 rounds for himself, and a large hunting rifle, but no ammunition for it. He decides to take it along anyways.
As he makes his exit he sees a man walking slowly away from him.
"Sir?" Freedan calls. "Sir are you okay?"
The man turns, his yellow eyes glaring. He howls loudly and suddenly the sound of scuffling claws echo through the mall.

EverPhoenix opens the CVS pharmacy and picks up extra supplies for his medicine kit. He also grabs some additional food and water. He opens the cash register and sees it filled with cash. He decides to pocket it. Who knows when they may need money?
He hears a howl in the distance and a man screaming. It's time to get out of here! He runs out of the CVS and sees three large werewolves running towards him. He ducks into another store and shuts the door, blockading it with his steel pipe... he loses that weapon.
The store is a religious supply store... he grabs some Silver Crosses, which should surely come in handy when fighting these werewolves. He also sees a Bible, Quran, Torah and so forth.

Raini hears the call of the werewolves from the mall and can tell the men she has been keeping an eye on have irritated her pets. She decides to head to the mall for a more personal welcome.

Round 5: Clearance Sale
1:00 AM
Suddenly, the werewolves who had pinned down the group stop in their place. They look around as if listening to a distant voice becoming them. With one final howl of commune, they all retreat back into the depths of the mall from whence they came.
The group meets up in the middle of the mall.
"What do you think that was about?" Freedan asked.
"I don't know," Blade said. "Where do we go now?"
"We might as well head to the Community Center. That seems to be the only safe place left," EverPhoenix noted.
"Right. Back to the truck," Chicken said leading the survivors on the way.
Freedan gives the shotgun shells to Blade. "Here. You have a use for these." He also hands the hunting rifle to EverPhoenix. "And you look like you lost your weapon. There's no ammo... sorry."
"It'll have to do. I'm sure we'll come across some," EverPhoenix notes, sliding the rifle across his back. He hands each of the men a Silver Cross.
"This might help. It's silver, so it'll work against those werewolves if they come back and it's a cross so it should be effective against vampires and demons."
"Good to know," Chicken said.
They escort the survivors back to the truck. Before the men get in, however they are stopped by a pretty young woman behind them.
"Excuse me," Rainichan smiles. "Are you heading to the community center?"
"Yeah. Do you need a ride?" Chicken asks.
"Oh no," Rainichan smiles, her features slowly becoming less vibrant... her face draining of color and her lips bleeding. "I was just curious."
Suddenly, the horizon fills with a massive horde of them. They are no longer the shambling masses of death. The charge towards the truck, moaning what appears to be "Little Surry With a Fringe On Top" from Oklahoma.
"Oh my god!" One of the survivors shouts. "They're coming right for us!"
"And they're horribly off key!" Another calls.
"We spent five days in practice and that's the best they can do," Rainichan sighs. "What do you expect from the undead? Anyways, I'm sure they'll enjoy eating you all for supper. They're pretty hungry."
Blade fires a shotgun shell into Rainichan, but the shot sails harmlessly through her.
"Such bad manners... I think you'll be first," Rainichan laughs as she disappears.
The men hop into the truck and blast through the horde of zombies. However instead of circling the mall they continue to chase the truck, with the werewolves now joining the pursuit.
"If we head to the Community Center this lot will follow us there!" Blade shouts.
"But where else can we go?" Freedan calls. "There's only about 40 miles worth of gas in the truck!"
"We could double-back, try to lose them and then head there," EverPhoenix suggests.
"No, I don't think so..." Chicken sighs. "We could take the highway to the next town over- the port. Maybe we can get on a boat. I doubt these guys can swim."
"Well... we'd just barely be able to make it, but we could head to Fort Carter. That's two towns over. Probably a defensive perimeter set up and they're better equipped to handle this," Blade suggests.
"There's no way we'd make it there on this gas. We'd have to walk the last two miles and we'd be sitting ducks," Freedan notes.

"Oh dear," sighs Rainichan. "I was hoping they'd stay for dinner."
She strokes the mane of one of the werewolves. "I think I'd best create some new minions... I'll need to gather some supplies however."
"Hmm.... to create vampires and demons I'd have to go to the nearby church. If I wanted to create a Ju-On... I could use that woman that I brought from the hospital..." Rainichan looks at the terrified nurse, being held in place by one of her minions. "And I can only create one new minion a day..."

Round 6: Take Two Bullets and Call Me When Your Dead
3:00 AM
As predicted the truck ran out of gas a short distance from the military base. About two miles, according to the nearby street sign. The dense mist hung in the air, and it was with hesitance that the men got out of the truck.
The survivors, three women and one man walked through the mist, shivering from the unnatural cold. Blade took the lead, Chicken and EverPhoenix took the rear. Freedan walked out to the side of the group, as a sort of scout.

Rainichan set her hostage, the nurse on the ground just outside the military base.
"The boys will be here soon. Now I can't go with you yet. I still have to finish off the rabble in the other town... but," she lifted her bloody mallet with deadly intent. "We can have some fun."
The hammer came down on the back of the nurses head with an almost comical thunk. The nurse died instantly. Raini saw the spirit of the woman linger around the area, a low guttoral "aaaaah" coming from where its mouth once was.

On the other side of the fort, the survivors and the men were greeted by a squad of soldiers. They had their weapons drawn, and the voice of a large sergeant in the back shouted: "Have any of you been bit?"
They all shook their heads.
"Good," the sergeant said. "I'm Master Sergeant Riley, head of this division, and the only remaining NCO alive at this base. All the officers, except Lt. Shank were killed, and since Shank has gone missing, I'm in charge."
The man did not have any greed in his voice. He made this known only because it was necessary. Power was clearly not something he desired.
"Get inside, you four," the Sergeant said to the survivors. He turned to the men. "And you four, come with me."

The fort was basically a little town, filled with food and water and tons of civilians. Barracks had been converted into safe havens, and each barrack seemed to be built to withstand any calamity should the base as a whole fall under siege.

"Rough times... and you all have some rough gear," Sgt. Riley said. "But you got those survivors here alright. How would you like to make a career of it?"
"What does that entail?" Chicken asked.
"You get great equipment and a vehicle all your own. You could team up on assignments or go them solo. This is where the fun really begins," Sgt. Riley explained.
"Let's start with the basics. The ammo we provide you has been tipped with neon, is made of a silver alloy and has a cross embedded in it. It will kill demons, vampires and werewolves, as well as zombies and any living things that might get in your way. We call them Holy Bullets," Sgt. Riley explained.

Rainichan watches as her hordes destroy the community center.
"This is perfect. Another town wiped off the map." Rainichan smiles.

Round 7: What Do Ju-Ont?
4:00 AM
Sgt. Riley observes the men in their new gear.
"Okay, now we've got some missions lined up for you. Thing is we only have two at the moment that I feel confident sending a group of rookies on," Sgt. Riley explained.
"Thank you for the vote of confidence," Chicken sighs.
"The first mission is actually right here in the base. There's been an outbreak of a Ju-On. It's a relentless monster. Can't really be killed from what we know, but it can be contained. We've contained the people who have seen this Ju-On and the people who did the containing were quarantined themselves to prevent the demon from spreading. Once you've seen the Ju-On, it will hunt you down until you die or the curse is broken."
"And how do you break the curse?" Blade asked.
"Nobody knows yet... that's our issue. We've got one damned kid who went to the area where the Ju-On was. We want to send somebody after them, but after the work we did to contain the Ju-On he's probably better off dead. But if you all wanted to go check on him and make sure he's not infected, then help yourself," Sgt. Riley said.
"And we wouldn't be quarantined?" Freedan asked.
"Probably not. If the Ju-On has been contained, she's probably feasting on the quarantined at the moment. There may be time yet to save the child. If you get affected though... you'll still be able to work for us, but you won't be able to stay here in the base," Sgt. Riley explained.
This prospect did not look promising. A fading scream from the quarantine area punctuated this sentence.
"The other assignment is a little more standard. The port just a few miles down the road has been under siege by some ghosts. Ghosts are bound to an area, though, so if you can get the survivors to safety, they won't keep bugging you. It's a much safer assignment, but I can't justify all four of you going. Only two can go to this mission, so first come first serve," Sgt. Riley said.
"And what if we want neither assignment?" EverPhoenix asked.
"You just sit around the base, and get a chance to visit the shop. Maybe next round more missions will turn up... but it's essentially a turn wasted," Sgt. Riley said.

Raini arrives on the scene where her Ju-On is slaughtering those in the Quarantine, one by one.
"Marvelous," she smiles.

Round 8: Revenge of the Creepy
7:00 AM
A thick fog hangs in the air as the sun slowly begins to rise. The port is covered in bodies of fresh victims. Chicken and EverPhoenix get out of their vehicle and slowly begin to search the port.
"Jeez, what a mess," EverPhoenix groans.
"I didn't think Ghosts could kill you," Chicken sighed.
"Well, I guess we were wrong," EverPhoenix replies coolly. "I didn't think they existed, but after this night I'm ready to believe anything."
There is a low growling noise in the distance. EverPhoenix aims his weapon in the direction of the noise.
"Chicken... did you hear that?" EverPhoenix asks.
A chainsaw revs up and three large zombies burst out from one of the ships.
"Damn it!" EverPhoenix shouts.
Three more approach them from the other side of the port.
"I thought there were only ghosts here!" EverPhoenix cursed.
"Well I guess we were wrong!" Chicken mocked. "What do you think? Find the survivors or save our own asses?"

The Quarantine Zone is filled with dead bodies. The Ju-On has been busy but there are still some people left. A woman sobs faintly about her desire for freedom. It pains the two men, but they know they can't let her free.
"We're volunteering for a suicide mission, you know that..." Blade sighed. "The Ju-On can only present itself to one of us at a time... so let's make a deal. If one of us sees the Ju-On, we'll buy the other enough time to get the kid and get to safety."
"Agreed," said Freedan. "And I don't intend to become one of those things."
Blade nodded in solemn agreement.
They arrived at the spot where the woman died, and see the child waiting for them. However, he is surrounded by four fresh Chainsaw Zombies!
"The corpses from the Quarantine Zone must have reanimated as zombies!" Blade cursed.

Round 9: Now Play Nice, Children...
8:00 AM
EverPhoenix runs towards the survivors, leaving Chicken to face all six Chainsaw Zombies.
"I hope he can figure something out," EverPhoenix sighs as he heads onto the boat.
A small group of four survivors sit in the corner of the boat, clinging desperately to the side.
"Come on!" EverPhoenix shouts. "Time to get you guys outta here!"
The survivors bellow loudly as the boat begins to rock violently. The ghosts begin to rematerialize and pass through them, cackling ominously.
"They can't harm you, just run to the vehicle!" EverPhoenix shouts as he fires two rounds into a nearby ghost, clearing the way.

"Easy as pie, right Freedan?" Blade laughs as he prepares his attack.
"It's here," Freedan curses.
"What's that?" Blade asks.
"Can't you see it?"
"No... I...." Blade suddenly realizes the situation. "I... I have to get the child out of here..."

Round 10: Congraturations, A Winner Is You

11:00 AM

EverPhoenix pulls Chicken onto the vehicle and drives away from the port with the survivors. Chicken sits stonily on the ride back to the fort.

"Look, I had to protect the survivors. You made it out okay so no harm, no foul," EverPhoenix states.

"You couldn't even waste a few precious shells to take one or two of them down on your way," Chicken cuts across him.

"Look it was just division of labor. We saved the survivors and got out without a scratch," EverPhoenix tried once more.

"You abandoned me... I'll definitely reconsider working with you in the future..." Chicken hissed. "Just drive the damn truck."

"We have to run now!" Blade shouts, grabbing hold of Freedan's shoulder.

"No! You must leave me behind!" Freedan protests.

"Like hell! Come on!" Blade drags Freedan into the vehicle where the child is waiting.

Blade tears out of the area.

"Do you all see her?" Freedan asked.

"Not yet," Blade curses, slamming his hand into the wheel.

"If I'm allowed to continue on my missions... it will defeat the whole purpose. The Ju-On will spread," Freedan moans.

"We could... always lie," Blade suggests.

"..." Freedan sits silently.

1:00 PM

Back at the base...

Sgt. Riley looks over the battle-torn men.

"You all look like hell," Sgt. Riley laughs. "But you did some good work. The survivors figure looks something like this."

CURRENT SURVIVORS: 218

"That's good work. I mean, really fantastic. Here is the mission report," Sgt. Riley explains.

The men review the mission report. Chicken and Freedan are promoted to Sergeant. EverPhoenix and Blade are promoted to Corporal.

"To those of you who are Sergeant rank or higher, we will now have some... additional jobs which you will be able to select coming after the next mission," Sgt. Riley explains. "Also, you will all recieve a pay raise in accordance to your new rank.

"Okay... we'll have some more missions for you next round," Sgt. Riley explains. "In the meantime, visit the shop and make your personal decisions."

"Hmmm.... I have such power now. Let me review my options," Rainichan ponders to herself.

Round 11: We Didn't Start The Fire

2:00 PM

"Master Sergeant!" A Staff Sergeant shouted. "The zombies have reached our gates!"

"Damn it," Sgt. Riley cursed. "Okay, well I'm glad you boys have finished your shopping. Well rather than move onto the next set of retrieval missions we have to protect those we have already saved.

Here's the deal. We've been getting a ship ready at a military port just down the road, up the coast from the civilian port. We were going to first make sure Charge Island was free of infection and then set up shop there. Most of these creatures can't cross the water, especially the zombies.

"We've got five busloads of civilians all lined up and ready to evacuate. I'll need you boys to cover our escape to the Port."

"But if Charge Island isn't safe yet..." EverPhoenix began.

"The port isn't under attack yet and that's a start. Although there have been werewolf sightings in the park," Sgt. Riley explained.

"Sir!" Freedan began, realizing this would be a prime opportunity for him. "Let me go an protect the citizens under attack in the park!"

"What's that, Sergeant?" Sgt. Riley asked.

"You won't miss one soldier and besides if worse comes to worse and I can't save anybody I can at least make sure the werewolves don't attack your buses on the road," Freedan explained.

"Hmm... that's not a half bad idea," Sgt. Riley nodded. "Alright then, you're excused. Take a bus and try to save whoever you can. Meet us back in the port by midnight tonight."

"Yes, sir," Freedan nodded as he headed out the door. Of course, he had no intention of returning, and Blade knew this.

"Hey, why don't you send an advance team to Charge Island. We can make sure its free of infection and set up shop," EverPhoenix began.

"I can see you won't shut up about that," Sgt. Riley chuckled. "Fine. You can be the advance team... Corporal," Sgt. Riley turned to Blade. "Looks like you'll be going with him."

Blade nodded.

"And what about me?" Chicken asked.

"There are a group of 12 kids hiding out in the woods to the north. I want you to head up there and evacuate them. This will not only save these kids, but secure the last potential threat near the Military Port. If we save these kids, then the enemy will have no reason to go there," Sgt. Riley explained.

"Got it!" Chicken nodded.

Chicken took an empty bus and drove it out a gravel road behind the base. He took it cross country across the back road until he saw the streets again and popped a curb as he approached the dark woods where the 12 kids were believed to be.

He parked the bus out in front of the woods and made his way through the thick trees. Even in broad daylight, the surrounding fog caused these woods to be surprisingly dark.

"Hello!" Chicken shouted. "Is anybody there?"

A man with a crossbow appeared in front of Chicken. He was wearing a brown vest over his white shirt and jeans.

"Oh, its a soldier," the man sighed. "Didn't mean to startle you."

"Who are you?" Chicken asked. "Are you with the survivors here?"

"No, I am not," the man nodded politely. "I am one of the Guardians, and I am out hunting vampires."

"Guardians?" Chicken asked.

"When the time comes for you to join our ranks, as it will soon enough, we will come to reclaim you," the man nodded as he turned and began to walk away. "In the meantime, be careful. The kids are in the clearing up ahead, but they're not the only ones out in this dense fog."

And the man dissapeared into the mist.

Chicken continued on his way and saw the 12 high school kids, shivering by a fire.

"Thank god!" a girl cried.

"Are you here to save us?" a boy asked.

"Yeah," Chicken nodded. "I've got a bus, let's go."

"It wants to take away our meal?" Came a woman's voice.

Chicken turned to see a stunningly beautiful woman in a skin-tight black suit. But there was something unnatural about her beauty. Was it the abnormally pronounced fangs, or the blood red pupils?

"We can't have that," came the voice of another. Soon, Chicken and the survivors were surrounded by four vampires!

EverPhoenix and Blade drove a jeep across the road. Blasting through the streets at high speed, they made it to the port in under an hour. Military personnel pointed them towards two speed boats and gave them the coordinates to Charge Island.

"Get there as fast as you can," a Staff Sergeant said. "We'll need to clear out a space as fast as possible!"

"Roger that," EverPhoenix nodded.

Charge Island was a small rocky island, but there was what appeared to be an old military base set on top of it. Blade walked up to the doors and opened them.

A group of around twenty people were huddled together around some trash can fires.

"The military is here?" A man asked.

"Yeah, we're setting up camp here. We're bringing a boat load of more survivors and supplies," EverPhoenix explained.

"But you can't!" Another man shouted. "It's not safe here!"

"Who could've guessed that," Blade chuckled grimly. "What's the problem?"

"There's a demon in the church," a woman explained. "It's been causing all sorts of chaos around this island."

"Demons, we can deal with," EverPhoenix acknowledged, arming his weapon. "Let's move."

The park smelled of blood. Freedan could hear grim howls of delight in the distance. At midnight tonight he would be officially a deserter. This thought would have troubled him if it had not been for the other wonderful gloomy thoughts that filled his mind.

The Ju-On walked calmly behind Freedan. Freedan turned and looked into the horrible eyes and bloody grin of the Ju-On, but there was a mutual understanding that the Ju-On was not ready to finish off Freedan just yet.

"Do you intend to follow me forever?" Freedan asked. "You'll haunt my every step knowing that sooner or later you will claim me?"

The Ju-On smiled an evil, horrible smile and nodded.

"Well then be sure and keep up. I'm going to save as many people as I can before you get the chance to kill me," Freedan explained.

And there they were. A group of around ten people running towards his bus. A man was shouting "Go! Go! Go!"

The Ju-On dissapeared. And then, Freedan realized what had happened. The Ju-On wanted Freedan to take her to other victims! A woman walked up to him and grabbed onto his shoulders.

"They're killing everyone! Please we have to go!"

She looked up and gasped. Freedan looked behind him and saw the Ju-On staring menacingly at the woman. She screamed, and Freedan grabbed her arm.

"Relax. I'm sorry, but you can't go on the bus."

"What?! Why?!" The woman cried.

"It's too late. You've been infected. Just stay with me and I promise you won't die!"

The survivors had clambored onto the bus. A surly man sat behind the wheel.

"Yo! Are you coming or what?" The man hissed.

"Get out of here!" Freedan shouted. "Take that bus to the military port! Do you know where that is?"

"Yeah, I know," the man nodded. He didn't bother to check and make sure Freedan was sure. He drove off. Freedan counted 16 people on the bus. If his satellite counts were right that meant that 22 people, including this woman, should still be here.

As he and the woman walked deeper into the park, he counted over ten dead bodies. This was not a slow process as a group of them seemed to have been hit at once. Not counting this woman, 8 more people were still running about this park. He should have been faster, but at least he was able to save some. And perhaps the bus driver had picked up a few on their way.

Or maybe they had been caught and slaughtered by the werewolves.

"Bit of an empty promise to keep that girl alive, wasn't it... Dark Knight?" Came a woman's voice, which Freedan recognized very well.

Rainichan stood before Freedan and smiled.

"You've done a very good job of evading the death I've had planned for you," Rainichan smiled. "Maybe you'd be a worthy addition to my ranks."

Freedan stood rooted to the spot. The Ju-On put his arm around Freedan's shoulder.

"My pet Ju-On wants to punish you. My pack of werewolves thirst for your blood. And I wouldn't mind eating your delicious brains," Rainichan sung merrily. "But I can waive all of that. You see, I've been experimenting with creating and controlling minions of my own. And you would be a prime example."

Freedan raised his weapon. "I'm not interested."

"Are you sure? Think about it. The power I can give you. You wouldn't be human anymore, true. But you'd be so much more. You wouldn't be one of my zombies. Though I love them, I admit they are a tad generic. Too generic for someone with skills such as you. You'd make a powerful Ju-On, but I have the feeling that's not quite the row for you either...

I could transform you into a werewolf... yes. That'd be just the ticket. You'd have the power of the lycans at your command, and you'd still retain human form and characteristics. You would be made a leader of your own pack and you'd be my right hand servant as we conquer this world together.

Please, Freedan, you know you want to," she smiled.

Round 12: Fallen Warrior

4:00 PM

Sgt. Riley looks over Chicken.

"Well a bus from the park has managed to arrive, bearing some additional survivors... but Freedan wasn't on it," Sgt. Riley explained.

"Freedan is still out there?" Chicken demanded. "Let me go after him!"

"No," Sgt. Riley said. "Our first priority is securing Charge Island and protecting who we have... we lost some when the base was sieged. I'm not permitting any more rescue missions until we get this lot safe."

Chicken regarded his hands for a moment, and then asked. "What about the 12 I brought back. Are they okay?"

"They should be fine. No bite marks, so we won't have any vampire issues," Sgt. Riley nodded.

"Great. Any word from Blade?" Chicken asked.

"He and EverPhoenix managed to secure Charge Island, but until we set up base camp there we're not out of the woods yet. There was some demon called Kalabos creating a stir. We'll need to check on those people ourselves and make sure they're not infected."

"Okay, then," Chicken nodded.

Chicken's Turn
Origin: The House
Job: Scout
Rank: Staff Sergeant
Cash: $1060
Salary: $250/round
Weapon: Modified SPR4 (54 Holy Bullets)
Items: Holy Grenades (3), Advanced First Aid Kit, Field Compass, Field Flashlight
Traits: Keen Senses, Martial Arts

"Now, onto happier business," Sgt. Riley said, although his tone didn't sound too happy. "You've been promoted the Staff Sergeant. This qualifies you for higher ranking jobs and abilities."

"Once you've chosen that job, take a break. We'll focus on getting things ready on Charge Island and next round we'll set you back to work," Sgt. Riley said.

"Well, that was fun," Blade said, wiping sweat off his forehead.

"I know," EverPhoenix groaned. He pulled out a medkit and began to clean his wounds. "I was unaware demons could infect with the virus, but I should be okay."

"All the same you let me know if something starts bugging you," Blade nodded, keeping a watchful eye on EverPhoenix.

"They'll be bring the survivors over here and turning this place into the base. I guess that means you and I can take a break for a while," EverPhoenix sighed.

"Right," Blade nodded again. "I could use a rest."

Freedan didn't feel the bite. He thought it would be obvious and painful, but for some reason the fangs seemed to slide right through his flesh without incident.

"Give it a moment," Raini smiled.

Freedan gave a great shuddering cough, and then another. His hands began to grow hairy, and it was not just his hands. Fur covered his entire body. He felt his mouth and nose protruding into a great snout. His fingernails turned into massive claws. His clothes didn't shatter, but rather seemed to dissapear.

"Ah. Freedan, the Werewolf," Raini giggled. "I think I like this even better."

Out of nowhere she conjured 3 additional werewolves. "This is your pack. They hunt with you. Whomever you attack, they attack with you. They are under your direct command, not mine. This is a sign of my faith in you. I know you will become a loyal servant."

Freedan barked his approval. He was thirsty. But it was not water he wanted. He longed for the sweet taste of blood...

"You know... there's an industrial sector near here, and a commercial sector. Both places are prime for the feasting. You oughta go and... indulge yourself," Raini grinned eerily.

Freedan nodded. All he could tell was he was hungry and thirsty.

"Alright then. Enough is enough," Raini said after she was finished with her transformation of Freedan. "It's time to make this town pay. My loyal minions! Without the military the survivors out there are ripe for the blood-letting! I will assign you all directly, and tell you where to haunt!"

Round 13: Distopia

6:00 PM

Charge Island's makeshift HQ would, under ordinary circumstances, have taken a few days to get up to code. But with the combined efforts of the military and help from civilians with engineering and electrical experience it was habitable within only two hours of hard work.

Chicken and EverPhoenix exchanged cool glances during the work, but said nothing to one another.

"Well, what now?" Blade asked.

"Freedan hasn't reported in. I'm afraid the worst may have happened to him. According to his tracker, he was last seen near the Industrial Sector. Word is a pack of werewolves are also attacking that area," Sgt. Riley explained.

"So he may be in danger?" Chicken demanded. "We have to go find him."

"I agree, but we also have a duty to rescue as many civilians as possible. Listen, we're going to split our forces. One of you can go after Freedan. One of you needs to head to the Government District and rescue the Governor and his support staff, as well as any other civilians. And One of you needs to defend the Residential Sector which is being hit hard by the Zombie Army and that Ju-On."
"As always, it's first come first serve," Sgt. Riley explains.

His pack moved with a speed that he thought incredible until he saw how fast he was able to move. As they reached the Industrial Sector he saw them tear into the flesh of their first three victims... and against his will he noticed that their feasting made his stomach lurch with hunger.

He was no longer human and losing his human traits fast. He had to act quickly or else he would become a mindless killing machine like them.

There had to be a way to warn the others about the attack and not let on to Raini that he had done so.

He felt a tugging at his hair... the transciever! Of course! He used his stubby claws to rip it off his fur and set it on the ground. The other werewolves from Raini's pack made their way behind him, running quickly for food. He took their distracted feasting as an opportunity to sneak back onto the road and head towards the shore.

A few miles down the road he saw somebody approach him. It was a woman carrying a large sword.

"Haha," she laughed. "A stray dog are we?"

She lifted her sword and prepared to strike. Freedan leapt towards her instinctively and held the sword aloft, but did not attack her.

"Hmm," the woman grunted, amused. "Perhaps you're not like the others. I am a Guardian. If you are interested in curing your disease and maybe doing something worthwhile to end this infection, head to the mansion down to the southeast. My friends will await you there."

Freedan let the woman go. He wanted to tell her "Thank You" but a half-bark half-bay was all that escaped his lips.

He walked for several miles until he saw the mansion that she was talking about. It was a worn, battered spooky old manor that had the air of a stereotypical haunted house. He swiped his paw against the door like a dog and it opened instantly.

A bearded man with a goatee opened. He was holding a crossbow at Freedan's heart.

"Stray from the pack did you? Or were you sent here?" The man asked.

Freedan raised his paws but made an effort not to extend his claws. If the man mistook this sign of surrender for an attempt to attack, he would be dead on the spot.

The man seemed to understand this and nodded.

"I guess Shai'ra thinks you have what it takes to be one of us then," the man sighed. "Very well. Speak to Dagon. He's a lycanthrope just like you... a werewolf that is. But he's developed a potion that will give you control of the outbreaks."

7:00 PM

Dagon was a tired looking man in his mid 50s. He had a mane of graying brown hair and a wrinkled and scarred face that suggested a lifetime of battles.

"Well now, this is a sight. Very few are able to resist the thirst that being a werewolf creates. You've never tasted human blood so that's a start. Once you've had your first meal, it is harder and harder for the potion to have an effect," and with this caveat, Dagon handed a small vial of blue liquid to Freedan.

He took a drink and instantly felt his features return back to normal.

"That's amazing," Freedan gasped as he felt his hands shrink back to their original size.

"Well we had to develop something. Can't have me running around chewing up the other Guardians," Dagon said.

"I keep hearing that word. What are you exactly?" Freedan asked.

"We're a secret organization. The military is doing their part to protect civilians and whose to argue. But we are the ones who actively fight back against the undead queen and her unholy minions," Dagon explained.

"As a Guardian, you will go where you want and fight whomever you want. As long as you take down the forces of darkness we care not how you do it."

"Hmm..." Raini sighs. "I suppose setting them after the residential sector was the right thing to do if I want my babies to eat. But I do wonder what my precious dark knight is up to."

"Well I can answer that," a woman announces.

Raini turns and sees a woman carrying a large sword.

"Ah, Shai'ra. Still with the Guardians eh?" Raini laughs as she raises her Bloody Mallet.

"I will destroy you here and now!" Shai'ra shouts.

"I doubt it," Raini smiles as she casually walks towards her foe.

Round 14: The Great Battle Begins!

9:00 PM
Chicken drives his APC up to the Government Sector. It would appear that nobody has been hurt in the area... yet. He parks just outside the capitol building and makes his way up the stairs.

Lifting his weapon, he opens the door.

The power is out, but he can hear a low mumbling from the offices on his right. He walks down the hallway and knocks on the door.

"Staff Sergeant Chicken, EVAC," Chicken calls.

The door opens and Chicken sees a small group of secretarial staff. One woman begins to cry and hugs Chicken.

"Thank god you're here!" She sobs.

"Calm down ma'am," Chicken says consolingly. "I need to find Governor Grandstaff and his support staff. Do you know where they are?"

The woman pulls away and nods. "They should still be in his office on the third floor. But there are... things. They hunt in the darkness... they can smell blood."

Chicken nods. "Vampires. I know. Do you know how many people survived?"

The woman sits back in her chair. "I don't know... most of the governing staff managed to avoid the first attack, so I'd say about a hundred."

"Right," Chicken nods. He pulls out his radio. "This is Chicken, I'm at the Government Sector."

"Roger that," Sgt. Riley responds. "Have you secured the Governor?"

"Not yet, sir. I'm going to need additional APCs if you can afford it. We've got about a hundred survivors here," Chicken explains.

"I can only spare two more. The rest are with Blade," Sgt. Riley explains.

"Right," Chicken nods. "Now, I need to go protect the Governor... what should I do with you guys?"

EverPhoenix parks his APC across the street from the main power plant. As he exits he can hear the faint sound of baying werewolves.

"Yeah, woof woof you bastards," EverPhoenix curses.

He raises his weapon and enters the plant.

He walks down a catwalk and enters the heart of the plant. He opens a door at the end of the catwalk and sees a man running towards him, a look of panic in his eyes.

"They're coming!" The man shouts, pushing EverPhoenix out of the way. "Run!!!"

Blade leads a lance of five APCs through the streets of the Residential Sector. As expected, the streets are full of zombies.

"Alright gentlemen!" Blade shouts over the radio. "We're going in hot and fast. Protecting Civilians is our first priority, blowing the hell out of a zombies is a fringe benefit!"

The five rovers blaze across the streets. Blade sees the first massive group of zombies attacking the houses along the main street.

"Alright then! Looks like we're gonna have a little fun!"

Freedan sits on the roof of one of the houses in the Residential Sector. He looks down on the lance of APCs and sees them charge into battle with the hordes of Zombies.

"That's... Blade!" Freedan notices. "I could provide sniper assistance..."

"Ahahah," Rainichan smiles. "That was fun. I haven't had a good battle in a while. "

She looks at her Orb of Control and sees the work of her minions, but frowns as she looks at the forces in the Residential Sector.

"Hmm... let's see what Freedan is going to do. Those APCs may tear my zombies apart..." Rainichan frowns.

She then observes the Werewolf Pack at the Industrial Sector.

"They should be fine. Only that one man against the whole pack," she smiles.

She looks over at her haunt of Poltergeists. "Oh yes. I also need to tell you friends where to go..."

She sighs. "So much to do."

Round 15: The Final Battle

12:00 AM

Chicken bursts into the main office of the capitol building. Standing in front of him is Governor Grandstaff and his support team.

"We've been observing you, and we are thrilled." Comes a voice.

Chicken looks to his right and sees Sgt. Riley.

"What are you talking about?" Chicken asks.

"This was all a test," Sgt. Riley explains. "This city has been blocked off from the rest of the world. There was no real threat of contamination. This was an effective quarantined study in these monsters."

"We're just rats in a maze to you?" Chicken demands.

"No, it's not like that!" Sgt. Riley barks, almost pleading. "There is something much more dangerous coming. We needed to calculate our strengths and weaknesses and prepare for the inevitable. We chose this town because it was relatively alone."

Sgt. Riley sighs. "We knew there would be collateral damage."

Chicken slams Sgt. Riley up against the wall. "Collateral damage?! People lost their lives to these monsters. You don't give a damn do you?"

"You have to see it from our position," Governor Grandstaff began. "If we didn't have anything to prepare ourselves with we would have lost more in the long run."

Chicken fumes, but lets Sgt. Riley go.

"Listen, we don't know what she's after, but the leader of this mess, Rainichan, has sent all her forces to the Residential Sector. A final fight is amassing there. If we can beat her, we might be able to stop the cataclysm from happening."

"Or she might win, and take over this planet..." Chicken hisses.

"Well if you want to help, then help," Sgt. Riley orders. "Get down to the Residential Sector, on the double."

EverPhoenix sees the werewolves charging, but the burst right past him and out the door. He follows them out and sees them moving towards the Residential District.

"I have to find Freedan... but..." EverPhoenix sighs.

He hears comm static on his radio.

"Attention all soldiers. Head to the Residential Sector on the double! The entire forces are trying to take down this region. This is it boys!"

EverPhoenix sighs. "I sure hope Freedan is there."

Blade laughs as he shoots through the remaining front-line zombies.

"Hell yeah!" He shouts. "We may have lost two APCs, but three still stand!"

"Protect those at all costs. We're gearing up for the final confrontation out here," comes Sgt. Riley's words.

"Roger that!" Blade replies.

Freedan sees it happening. The armies of light gather on one side, and the forces of darkness on the other.

"5 APCs, and several soldiers versus a horde of zombies, werewolves, Ju-Ons vampires..." Freedan rubs his head. "I will have to make my move soon..."

He feels a hand on his shoulder. It's Dagon, the Guardian who helped him earlier.

"We Guardians shall be joining the fight... even though only five of us remain now," Dagon sighs.

"Five... but there were six of you," Freedan notes.

"Shai'ra has been contaminated. We must treat her as we would treat these mindless corpses. "

Rainichan enters the lighthouse. She hears the faint sound of organ music and a bitter laughing. As she makes her way up the stairs, with Shai'ra close at hand, she sees a man in a dark robe.

"I was wondering when anybody would come looking. And the Queen of Darkness herself bids me welcome," the man laughs. The room is large, with the shining beacon circling them as the man plays pipe organ.

"Who are you?" Raini asks suspiciously. "You are not mortal."

"I am Lestat. The one who made all who walk in darkness. Even you, my child," the man says.

"I was created by the dark one Alucard," Rainichan explains. "I am queen of his minions in his absence."

"Ah, but he was only steward to my power," Lestat laughs. "I shall not challenge your authority, my dear. You are doing a fine job as it is. If you will accept my help, we will be able to give a warm welcome to the insects at the Residential Sector."

Rainichan thinks for a moment, and finally nods.

"I will not surrender my Orb of Control," Rainichan says. "But you will be allowed to fight alongside me."

"An honor," Lestat laughs. "Come. We must hurry."

Rainichan, Lestat and Shai'ra head to the rooftop of the church in the center of the residential sector.

"Hmm... 5 APCs, and a hundred footsoldiers... this will be a hard fight," Rainichan sighs.

"And six guardians," comes the voice of Freedan.

Freedan raises his Blessed Rifle and aims it at Rainichans heart. Lestat leaps in front of her and deflects the bullet with a massive sword.

"So, you have betrayed me?" Rainichan asks. "I hardly needed to be told that. Your actions spoke louder than your words."

"I will take Shai'ras place as the sixth Guardian. You will die by my hands if I can manage it," Freedan shouts.

"Well then go join your friends," Lestat laughs. "We shall see you on the field of battle!"

Freedan eyes him for a moment, but decides it is best to do as he says. He returns to the others on the field.

"Freedan!" Sgt. Riley shouts. "Where the hell have you been?"

"Had a little trouble with my last assignment," Freedan curses.

"Where'd you get that bitchin' rifle?" Chicken asks.

"It's a long story. Suffice it to say I'm here. Their numbers are strong, but with the help of the Guardians and the APC Lance we may stand a chance," Freedan explains.

"Alright then... I guess this is it," EverPhoenix sighs.

"Hey," Chicken nods. "If we don't make it out of this... I just want you to know there's no hard feelings about before..."

EverPhoenix nods. "Right. I understand."

The forces meet with the thunderous clash of the APC Lance's Canister Shot. Soldiers cry as they are torn apart by Ju-On and Poltergeists. The Guardians are hit the hardest, and after fending off many zombies, Dagon falls to the ground with a cry of pain.

Freedan turns in the midst of his own duel with Shai'ra and sees his short-term mentor fall to the ground. He cries in agonizing depression and strikes with renewed vigor.

"Your friends aren't doing so good while you dither about up here, Dark One!" Lestat mocks.

"I will end it here!" Freedan shouts.

Shai'ra falls unconscious to the ground.

"She's still alive!" Freedan shouts.

"For all the good it will do her. She cannot be revived while we control her fate," Rainichan laughs. "Her soul belongs to me! As will all of yours!"

There is a ghostly wail as the last of the Ju-Ons is eradicated.

"I did not think it possible!" Sgt. Riley laughs as he leans on his weapon. "The unstoppable Ju-Ons have been contained!"

"My..." Rainichan lets a single tear escape. "My children! HOW DARE YOU!"

"Sergeant, you don't look so good!" Chicken shouts.

"Yeah..." Sgt. Riley laughs. "I'll be okay...Listen, if I go... don't use a Surgery Kit on me. You guys have to stay alive to fight this okay?"

Sgt. Riley opens up his flak jacket and reveals a stack of grenades.

"If I go down... I'll go out with a bang, you hear me?" Sgt. Riley nods.

"Amusing, isn't it?" Lestat laughs.

"You will suffer!" Rainichan shouts.

Raini's rage tears up the rooftops with a terrible inferno. The sound of two more Guardians falling seems to echo over the slaughter of soldiers and undead beasts alike.

Lestat's blast of energy hits Sgt. Riley square in the chest. He stops for a moment and looks at the others.

"You have to carry on," he says. "That's my final order. You understand?"

"Sir, we can heal you!" EverPhoenix shouts.

"No!" Sgt. Riley calls. "There's no point in it! The reason I wanted this to work so badly was because... I've already been bitten."

Sgt. Riley tears off his flak jacket and reveals a disfiguring scar on his arm.

"I didn't recieve treatment in time. I knew this would happen sooner or later," Sgt. Riley nodded. "You're our last hope, men. Fight proud."

Before the men can protest, Sgt. Riley turns towards Lestat. "I won't be your puppet. I won't turn into one of them!"

He rushes straight at Lestat and presses a button on his chest. A massive explosion rips the foundation of the house, already weakened by Raini's attack. They fall through to the interior.

All is quiet for a moment. Even the sound of the battle outside seems to have stopped for a moment.

When the dust settles, Lestat still remains standing, supporting Raini on his shoulder.

"Well well well," Lestat laughs. "Rather amusing fireworks display wouldn't you say?"

"You son of a bitch!" Blade shouts.

"Calm yourself. We are all warriors. He knew his lot and what his fate would eventually lead to," Lestat grins. "You shall all meet the same fate. You cannot hope to defeat me!"

Blade ducks beneath some cover and patches up Freedan.

"Maybe you might consider backing out of this one?" Blade asks concerned.

"Yeah, because that'll happen." Freedan laughs.

Freedan rises and rushes straight for Raini. Chicken takes his lead and rushes at Lestat.

EverPhoenix throws a grenade from behind the cover.

Suddenly, Raini glows bright blue. A massive wave of energy shoots through Freedan and knocks him back below the cover.

"Ugh!" Freedan cries. "Well that was a good way to spend my rejuvenated self... don't waste anymore healing supplies on me."

A horrible wail comes from just outside, as the last Guardian, a female carrying a pikestaff, is ripped apart by a Zombie.

Raini lets out a horrible laugh.

"You see? Not even the mighty guardians can stop the inevitable. This town will be overrun. And I will claim the head of the last Guardian for my own," Lestat cries.

A deafening howl is cut mid bay as the dying guardian's pike flies out of her hand and lands in the throat of the final werewolf.

"My pets..." Raini cries. "You keep killing my pets!"

"Is it really worth losing all your children just to try and take over humanity?" Freedan asks. "You've lost Raini! Our numbers are still greater than yours. Even if you defeat all four of us here, there will be no hope of victory. What do you think is waiting outside this city? A defensless population? No! This planet is full of people like us. We're just the vanguard!"

Raini walks over to the corpse of her last werewolf.

"Surrender. Return to your own world and live in peace. There is still time to save your family. Or will you selfishly have them die for your own ends?" Freedan asks.

"Quiet mortal. You know nothing of our ways," Lestat hisses.

"Raini! This man has made you believe the only way to survive is to conquer us. That is not true! Help us fight him. He only wishes to usurp your power after you've made it easy for him!" Freedan cries.

Raini sways on the spot.

Freedan summons all of his remaining life energy and focuses it in his last shot.

"This is it!" Freedan shouts. "This will end it!"

The bullet leaves his gun, and with it, all of his life energy is expelled in a single shot. It pierces Lestats heart, and he begins to wail in pain.

"You fool!" Lestat bellows. "You have no idea of the power of darkness! You have no idea of the flood that is about to be unleashed! You know nothing!"

Lestat turns to Raini. "Heal me!"

Raini wavers.

"Heal me now! I command you to heal me!" Lestat shouts.

Without another word, Raini takes her hammer and raises it over her head.

"What?!" Lestat cries. "No!"

The hammer falls with a deafening thud. The ghost of Lestats last order, is forever etched on his face.

Silence falls. The battle ceases. For an instant, the world is still.

"The last guardian will not die today," Raini nods. And with that, she raises her Orb of Control and shatters it in her hand. The captured soul of Freedan that she took when she transformed him returns to his body. "Your body will return to its state, the power of darkness will no longer consume you. Be reborn!"

Freedans body glows for a moment and then he slowly begins to open his eyes.

"What has happened?" Freedan asks as he looks at his hands, the claws now rapidly dissapearing.

"I will not conquer your world of light. I have seen what is necessary to do it and it is not a price worth paying," Raini nods. "What remain of my children will follow me into the the Netherworld."

And with that, the zombies, and poltergeists that remains begin to dissapear in the breaking daylight.

"I can't promise I won't return someday to take what is rightfully mine," she titters. "But for now, let's call it a draw, shall we?"

And with that, she opens a gate to the realm of darkness and is never heard from again.

"So, what do we do now?" Chicken asks.

"What do you mean?" Blade laughs. "We rebuild. I'm the ranking officer in this area. I'll take care of Governor Grandstaff as we assist in rebuilding the town, and burying our dead."

"I think I'm gonna resign from military service," EverPhoenix sighs. "Wasn't really my passion, you know. Besides I think people will benefit more from my intelligence in rebuilding."

"So be it," Chicken nods. "But I'm going to stay where I am. There are some people who depend on me."

"What about you, Freedan?" EverPhoenix asks.

"Me? I'm the last remaining Guardian. I'll have to rebuild that as well. You four care for some part time work? It only entails hunting down darkness wherever it dwells and putting your life on the line," Freedan chuckles.

"I don't know if we have enough experience in that field," Chicken laughs.

"Well gentlemen, I need to be off. Have to talk with the governor," Blade says, rising. "It's been a pleasure working with you guys."

"Same here," EverPhoenix nods. "Try to bring some honesty back into the field. I've got to go talk with the Red Cross... or somebody."

"I guess I'll be following you this time, Master Sergeant," Chicken nods.

And with that, the four friends head on their separate ways, to rebuild the world and protect it from the darkness.

The End
