Help On A Theory

We all know all three games are referred to as "Spiritual Sequels" as none of them have any real direct connection other than Solid Arm being a hidden boss in IOG (And his reference to the Blazer), and the shared names like Turbo and South Cape... I still haven't played Terranigma myself so I could be wrong for that game, but bear with me on this...

Is it possible that the Blazer could be the ancestor of Will from IOG? I've thought about that. None of his family would know since The Blazer became human at the end of the game, and will seemingly being the only person who can make contact with a form of a Gaia or God, as did the Blazer.


So what's your guys thoughts on it?

I like this theory. It certainly would connect the invisible dots.

Oh, and the secret boss? What you have to do is collect ALL 50 RED GEMS. Then the Jeweler in Dao will send you to a secret mansion level, which has harder versions of enemies from the Mines level. The boss at the end is the first boss from Soul Blazer, Solid Arm. Only because IoG controls differently, he is rather difficult this time around.

If you need the Gem locations, I can post them or PM them. (IoG is my fav game after all )

Hm. I like this theory. Just have to find a way to connect to it Terranigma. The only real connection there is flying/sailing past South Cape. XD

Well no one does know who Ark's parents are.. and he somehow appeared under the indirect care of Dark Gaia. Maybe something from IoG links to that? having not finished the game (yet) i wouldnt know, but Dark Gaia might be a good place to look.

maybe dark gaia's essence comes down and "infects the planet" so to speak

btw the soulblazer series seems to be a bit like FF, they're the same series but none of them have that much of a link (except sequels)

I always thought of IoG last scene, where you stand above the clouds and watch a modern world, as the connection to Terranigma. since you ressurect humankind and do not create it anew, it had to exist before.

just a thought but, why did will bother to save the world? i mean come on, if you could transform into a dark knight and a strange blue flaming liquid guy (don't ask) and fight beasts and look really cool would you really want to exchange it for a modern day life?

My assumption was always this (having only played a bit of SoulBlazer):

Will is descended from Blazer. Perhaps Blazer is Olman's father, which would explain how Will's dad became an adventurer. The world righted itself when Will beat Dark Gaia. When we see the world map re-form, we are actually seeing Ark's quest in Terranigma to revive the world (as farfetched as this is, I had assumed the tie-in was that Will being on the comet let him see Ark's work, but when he returned to the revived world he took on his natural role, which explains why none of them remember anything.
