I, as I think everybody has or shall at one point, attempted to play ET for the Atari 2600.
Barring that unfortunate experience there are games that are truly among the worst I've ever played.
DarkStone, a cookie cutter RPG for the Playstation. The fact is it wasn't that bad for what it was. You could play one of four classes and the meager story altered somewhat. The graphics were pretty decent for its time and the ambient music was actually one of my favorites.
But the controls are unbelievably stiff and rigid, monsters can easily surround you at a moments notice creating an inescapable death traps, spells were not self-explanatory and sometimes they didn't even work and dungeon traversing was an absolute nightmare.
Death By Degrees for PS2, I only could play a few minutes of this game. The obvious attempt to lure you in with breasts evaporated instantly when I saw the combat mechanics. You use the right analog stick and wave it in the direction that you want to kick or punch. That's it. No joke. And while it may be innovative, that doesn't make it good.
I'll think of more. _________________ Support me on Patreon!
