I'll check that out when I have more time, but I've already heard that a Mario and Zelda game are in the works, and a Metroid game can be expected. All of which I plan on buying. Cool Guy

Nintendo says they will make nes, snes and N64 games downloadable. GCgames will be playable..

Again, they will rely on their past and fan base.. that's something I dislike about Nintendo, they say they like to innovate but they are the only ones who rely on past games...

You could just sell your GC, buy the new Zelda, buy the Rev and you could still play :p

Zelda, Mario and FF are games that will never end. Smashing games that keep gettign record sales.

To bad nintendo doesnt seem to try to top any of these games with something new.

doesnt mean there games suck, but some fresh ideas would be nice. Before they used up every possible Zelda game scenario that they will remake all teh games but Link as a female...

That's exactly the point. They've got a formula that works, their games keep bringing in a lot of sales. If they changed it, you just know people would be bitching that they're straying from their roots, and that they changed things too much, etc.

I've seen countless arguments about Nintendo not growing up with their gamers. I suppose these people won't be happy until they see Mario with a gun.

I've been to a couple message boards, and some people are actually considering NOT buying the new Zelda because of its title "Twilight Princess". They complain that the title is too childish, so they won't give the game a shake. Anyone who can't just enjoy a game has no business calling themselves a gamer. Or at least a real gamer.

@ Coz: I've also heard a few complaints that Nintendo is relying on their old stuff. They're not relying on it, it's only included as an extra. Not everyone has room on their PC for ROMs and emulation, especially for N64 ROMs. Allowing players access to the older stuff allows everyone to get what they want all in one place.

And putting out their entire catalog of games is no different than releasing an anthology of books, or selling a TV show's 7 seasons on DVD. Everyone's seen them before, but they can get them again in a more modern setting.

There would be riots in the streets if Nintendo didn't put out a Zelda game with their consoles.

Gee, Nintendo had revolution plans for classic character Kid Icarus. Kid Icarus is one of first password generating games, along with classic Metroid.

Quote:
IGNcube: Will you make Kid Icarus for Revolution?

Shigeru Miyamoto: Well, I'm actually working really closely right now with the director of the [original] game. Now, whether or not when we get the Revolution all set up and everything is finalized, well who knows? That might be one of those characters where everybody says, "Hey, with the way our console is designed, that would be a perfect match." My question to you is, if we made this game would you buy it?

Kid Icarus making return to modern time? Cant wait to see him again - at Revolution.

Maybe the game will finally capitalize on its potential like the NES one should have in the first place.
