I went to top stores, GameStop and EB Games, and found more than 2 used Nintendo DS sat down along with used GBA games inside the display booth....while I carried my DS.
That made me sad.
What got players sold their DS?
For coolest Sony PSP?
I knew that heldhand console is Sony's first one but PSP dont do any good on "portable console or media player" due to short life of power battery.
Or is it "lack of good games"? I know there's more good games on way like Metroid Pinball, 2-D style Metroid Dread, Mario Kart, or Pokemon games....
Perhaps Nintendo make a mistake with release date - too early for DS. _________________

It's probably because the DS can't play movies like the PSP can... and the new FF7 movie is going to be released DVD/UMD format. _________________

A lot of it might be the fact that many DS games don't take full advantage of the two-screen thing. That's the whole gimmick of the DS (along with the stylus).
There are some promising titles on the way though, so there's still plenty of time for them to do that. _________________

I myself just think there's been way too many handhelds been released
its just bullshit they're releasing so many handhelds, I gave up after the Advance.
I'm only getting the PSP for FFAC, if there's any games that come out with it that interest me (Metal Gear Acid/Dynasty Warriors comes to mind) then I'd grab them too, but DS doesn't have the killer titles on the DS such as Zelda _________________ You're just a human being, my dear, sweet child |

Well I want a DS, tought I would like to also have a PSP, I still like the DS better
They didn't released early.. there is a slight problem about the DS with games. The second screen.. developers don't know what to do with it XD
There are many handhelds.. but both Nintendo and Sony are thinking this: we are giving you 3 choices so the console appeals more to you. Choose.
They don't think someone should buy more than one handheld in most cases. |

PSP is not good for long trips if you plan to play whole games or movies like FFAC because of its short battery life. I have no need for PSP since I got portable DVD player, GBA SP, and DS with accessories on go...
Also, I knew small screens like handheld TVs or PSP's cannot suppport subtitles or closed captions. Could you read tiny words like that?
I support Game Boy generations for years since mom bought me a Game Boy and bunch of games to keep me entertained while I'm on long trips between state borders or at offices. I seen alot of improvements from generation to generation like backup battery or coolest Solar Battery for Game Boy. I been watch new Game Boy generation getting smaller and more tech every time. Yes, GBA SP or GB Micro make good explain if you compare with Game Boy.
Note: Game Boy isnt first handheld console Nintendo made. Game & Watch was (1980 - 1991). Nintendo been here with us for 116 years and gaming cards to Revolution console. Sony was here for 59 years. _________________

i would think they would make the words large enough for most people to read ... _________________ It's high time I revised this signature. |

It seems to me that you would be able to read them fine. You could make out other small text on the screen, right? _________________

The difference is things like subtitles are only onscreen for a short time, so if there's difficulty reading it, you may not (in other words, Deathpit may not) be able to get the whole message before it disappears. Other small text like menus and stuff isn't so bad, because it stays up as long as you want it to. _________________

A well known dutch gaming amgazine commented that the DS itself wasnt at all that bad. It was pretty cool.
But teh selection of descent games wasnt all that great and most games simply failed to make a good use of the dual screen. _________________ Its nice to be important, but its more important to be nice. |
