So yeah, Amy Winehouse who wrote "They Tried To Make Me Go To Rehab" and "I'm Not Gonna Write You a Love Song" is dead. They don't yet know the cause. It's always tragic when somebody dies so young, but to be honest, the asshole in me is going to laugh my ass off if it's revealed that she overdosed.

Another celebrity dead at 27. With how many drugs she had been taking, I wouldn't be surprised if her heart just gave out.

Although the OD thing is more than likely. This is tragic, and further goes to show the destructive nature of drugs on the human body and mind. Five time grammy winner, soon to be six feet underground. :/

And look at all the good it did her. Dead in what should have been the prime of her life. Hooray for 'full throttle'. Neutral

Another celebrity succumbs to a lifestyle of addiction and overindulgence. Of course, nothing is confirmed, but with the lifestyle she led, it's a pretty reasonable assumption.

I read that people were "saddened by the sudden passing of Amy Winehouse". There was nothing sudden about it; she's been poisoning herself to death for years. Just how much of an effort was made to get her the help she needed?

This. I love the drug addicts who are all like "drugs don't do any harm", and then don't have shit to say about this stuff, or are like "well SHE overdid it. But I know better."

Alot of them cleaned up their acts and stopped doing the stuff- unlike Winehouse. She had been doing drugs for years, and, if you know something about it, once your body builds a tolerance you need to take more to get a high for it. Imagine being on so much of that shit you give yourself too high a dose- as what probably happened- and you end up dead.

Or, like the Chris Farley, choking on your own vomit.

You're a smart lad, but this is one point on which you and I will always be opposed. I see no benefit of artificial means of self-enhancement. Smacks of low self-esteem or seeking a cheap thrill.

Lol. That's a good talking point right there. TerraEarth: Sooner or later, it all comes down to drugs.

Laughing

Heard about this at work. I'm guessing she OD'ed and died. Her own damn fault if you ask me. Yes, it's sad, but she did it to herself.

I also hear that stupid "I'm gonna write you a love song" song at work and I don't like it. Neutral Better than the Fergie song with the most retarded lyrics ever, I suppose.

Anyway, coworker told me she joined the 27 club. I'd never heard of it til yesterday, to be honest.

Really? Well, I mostly knew about it since my friend was a huge Nirvana fanatic.

Well, maybe it was her management that did it. Afterall, everyone knows these days artists are worth more dead than they are alive. Just look at the spike in Michael Jackson's sales right after he died.

Um, that's titled "Love Song" and it was written and is performed by Sara Bareilles. Rolling Eyes

But to the point, I'm not surprised that Amy Winehouse died (especially if it's linked to drugs/alcohol), but it's still sad. She had more talent than half of the people in the entertainment business. I really enjoyed her album "Back to Black".
