To my knowledge we're the only country that doesnt use metric as a primary measurement. Should standard go the way of the cubit? _________________ Current Avatar commissioned work by Seiken Arts.

Metric is so much easier, except in those rare times (like in Aircraft Design) where every equation has been made specifically for arbitrary imperial units.
That being said, metric should be the go everywhere. _________________

I'd have to relearn that shit and I'm bad enough at math as it is. Numbers and I don't get along. So no. Not until I'm dead. _________________

we could settle that in no time...
errr, *cough cough* i mean, all hail and all.
back on topic: id also say that a standardized system would be great. i always hate it when i read about "ft long" or "inches" and the likes. its always "google that shit, how much is that in MY currency?" _________________

nah. both have their uses. some things are better off in inches, the other in centimeters. and both systems equally confuse me. they attempt to teach both in school but it's barely delved into. one day they expect you to magically grasp the whole thing and wallah. |
