Emulators because I'm a terrible person. (And also because it would be very inconvenient to buy expensive consoles, original cartridges/CDs, a TV, spare parts, etc.)
Another thing is that emulators now have the ability to improve a game's visual quality which is always nice when you want to see an old game come back to life.
Take the Dolphin Emulator for example. Due to my AMD processor, I can't run many things on it. However, it can boost the visual quality of Paper Mario TTYD through it's internal engine which can render the game 4x it's original size and scale it down to buff video. |
