I'll quickly make my way to the Reagents shop, where I shall attempt to acquire Comet Fire II, Comet Lightning II, and Comet Cure.

I shall then proceed with the Fishmonger towards the Starlit Metropolis, and leaf through the notes that the Chimera Clan attempted to steal from me.

Travelers coming up into the Lunar Caldera must hike up dangerous paths, through tricky switchbacks or even attempt to cross wide chasms to get to the lakeside. But traveling down the mountain by way of the river, though tricky, is far easier.

The Fishmonger advises you to get some sleep.

"It'll be morning before we arrive on the docks in the Scorpio Sector. You'll want to be well rested."

"Are you mad! The Metropolis Security Force is moments away!" Mage shouts.

"I'll deal with them. You keep the palette safe!" You instruct.

Mage and Thief rush out of building first, carrying the palette down a series of back alleys. You look to see if your escape route is clear.

*You roll an 18.

Everything appears to be fine and you rush forward down an opposite street. As you plan, the sirens begin to follow you instead of Mage and Thief. You duck down a side alley which winds back towards the docks. Leaping underneath the pier at desert side, you cling to the underside of the dock with the tendrils you summon from your back.

The sirens are right on top of you now, and you hear footsteps even on the other side of the dock. You love situations like this. Tense situations wake you up rather than shut you down.

It sounds like three officers on the pier. You notice a patrol boat is sailing down river and will be in your location within moments, likely staffed by two by the size of it. And there is always the river...

A) Fight Them On The Beaches - (Battle with 3 Metropolis Security Guards) [pro: best battle reward, con: most dangerous]
B) Fight Them On The River - (Battle with 2 Metropolis Security Guards to overtake ship) [pro: safe and decent battle reward, con: may alert further security forces]

D) Do something else (explain).

I use my last effort to transform myself into the guard from earlier. I never done it while having to swim simultaneously, and I have no time to check if it worked. But that's how it is, it has to work out somehow.
I climb on the boat, naturally as i would belong there. "Jesus christ, help me up will ya? He got me from behind, swimming in that direction. Gotta clean that uniform myself, that's enough reason to kill the bastard!"
As soon as i find an opening, i attack with Darkness Tendrils!

You arrive at the docks of the Scorpio Sector at a very inopportune moment. Metropolis Security seem to be engaged in a full investigation of the area.

"Halt!" Shouts one of the guards as you prepare to disembark.

Two soldiers rush over towards you.

"What's the meaning of this?" The Fishmonger asks. "We're just travelers from the Lunar Caldera!"

"There's been a robbery of one of the supply depots near here. I'm sorry but we will have to search your boat." The soldier orders.

The soldiers do a brief scan of the mostly empty ship and then search both you and the Fishmonger.

"They're clean!" The soldier shouts.

"Sorry to inconvenience you. If you notice anything suspicious contact our men immediately," the soldier orders before rushing back towards the dock.

"So what now lad?" The Fishmonger asks.

*You roll a 16.

You notice off in the distance another security boat, and the figure of a man pulling himself up out of the water onto it. Within a few moments he has overtaken one of the guards and knocked him unconscious.

"Formless," you mutter. "Must be that burglar."

The pier collapses under the wreckage of the boat, and psychokind lands in front of EverPhoenix. The nearby Fishmonger pushes his boat away from the shattered pier.

Psychokind looks up to Everphoenix.

"Out of the way!" Psychokind shouts.

EverPhoenix backs up when suddenly the two are surrounded by MSC Guards.

"Hands up! All of you!" The Captain of the squad shouts.

"What the hell?!" EverPhoenix shouts. "I'm just a bystander!"

"No time for a trial, just shoot!" The Captain orders.

The soldiers under him seem reluctant.

"Sir?"

"I said shoot them. Formless Bandits. I'm not gonna let them escape this time!" The Captain shouts.

"Sir, we have laws!" The second soldier shouts back.

"Are you disobeying a direct order!?" The Captain demands.

The two soldiers who protested simply walked away, leaving two others under the command of the Captain.

"Well, I guess we're in this mess together," EverPhoenix says, raising his hands to prepare his magic.

"Got your back as always, lad!" Fishmonger replies.

Psychokind cracked his neck. "Just don't get in my way."
