I'm more than halfway done with Illusion of Gaia. Afterwards, I'll play Zelda, Soul Blazer, and Terranigma. And Secret of Evermore. Maybe Secret of Mana.

Which other games are like this? I know there are RPG's, but I'm more into the live-action type of fantasy games. Secret of Evermore is just about borderline for me, but is still live action for the most part.

Ever played Catlevania? I know it is in 2D but it can be a lot of fun as well.

I think all mana games are action RPG's, but I am not certain. I know sword of mana is.

They just don't make as many as they used to.

I played through Castlevania 4 years ago. I just got the Dracula X one for ZSNES. I also got Lagoon, however good that game is I'll see. If I run out of action-RPGs, I may look into the regular RPGs like FF2 and FF3.

Lunar games are action RPG's? Confused

I never played one, I wouldn't have known.

I'll look for the Luna ones. There was a Lufia series but it looked like regular RPG. A review on gamefaqs.com said it's basically keep pressing a button for regular attack. Whereas I like to make a character walk up to an enemy and measure an attack in real time.

Try Super Metroid if you like to bust some monsters with Arm Cannon. Look up for japanese Action RPG games like Front Mission: Gun Hazard or Gunman's Proof.
Gunman's Proof is Zelda clone (kiddy game) but it's set in wild west settlement and use guns instead of swords.

You need english translation patches to play the japanese games from http://agtp.romhack.net/. I suggest you browse the website to find the games you want play. I am not much of japanese player.... Rolling Eyes

The Lunar games aren't so much action-type games, but the characters DO move when you attack (just on their own). They can't be emulated though; they're for PlayStation/

Are there not emulators and roms for the PS, PS2, or N64?

That's okay if there aren't, I'm enjoying the SNES titles now.

I did play through Super Metroid years ago. I may go through that one again.

Yes, there's emulators for consoles you mentioned above. But only N64 roms available to download. You had to buy real PS or PS2 cds to play on computer. N64 roms are pretty hard one for computer with operating system running (unless you got powerful computer).

You have to find BIOS, or get an emulator like BLEEM! to play PS titles. N64 games are murder on one's computer, plus the files are HUGE.

the only good psx emulator that i ever found was actually called PSXEmu Tongue out but it was good, so i got the image of a few of my PSX games onto the comp to play em (yes, they were original games) like FFT Very Happy, had i known about it sooner i probably never woulda gotten a mod chip just to play FFT, but still, in doing so it opened up the ability to play many many games for a few hours and to stop because they were crap Very Happy

I need to figure out how to do that for Sega CD games. Mr. Green I wanna play the original Lunar games for the Sega CD, but if I want the images + BIOS, they're hard to find. Mad

I probably won't bother with N64 roms. It would be easier to keep my N64 console. I'm sure the game save batteries/chips are still good today.

The ZSNES and the roms are so quick and easy to set up. A definite life saver.
