The point is I'm ever evolving, or at least that is the hope. As you say, a stagnant life is a boring life.
If I was going to go to Germany it would be for the beer. Our beer is piss. |

Er, hmm....really? I would've said that as opposites to "super religious" go, Agnostic would've been closer to the mark...

Interesting theological discussion. What's your reasoning?
For me it's a simple boolean construct:
if(religion==true){
[tab] switch (faithValue){
[tab][tab] case [1] = religionIdentity = "Agnostic"
[tab][tab] case [2] = religionIdentity = "Spiritual"
[tab][tab] case [3] = religionIdentity = "Christmas & Easter"
[tab][tab] case [4] = religionIdentity = "Religious"
[tab][tab] case [5] = religionIdentity = "Super Religious"
[tab]}
}
else {
[tab] religionIdentity = "Atheist"

Hmm...if I understand right, Jason, you're ranking those statements in order of amount of the amount of belief, right? But I'd still switch the positions of Agnostic and Atheist about, and here's why.
An Agnostic, loosely speaking, isn't sure whether to believe in a god or not; they don't know. The stronger variation of Agnostic is that they would also think it's impossible to know either way.
From Greek "gnostos" = "known" and the prefix "a" = "not".
An atheist, however, *does* specifically believe that there are no gods. Again, from Greek "theos" = "god", and "a" = "not".
Looking at those definitions, the main point seems to me to be that Agnostics are unsure what to believe (or believe that it's impossible to be sure), while Atheists have a strong belief in the absence of any gods.
So that's hwy I say that Atheism is a stronger belief system than Agnosticism. _________________

Fair reasoning. Interesting way of looking at it. |
Yes, basically what I was going for.
Like the opposite of Love; depending on how you interpret "opposite", can be either Hate or Apathy.

That's pretty funny!
I used to be one of those, in my teens our parents used to drag my sister and me to church on Easter Sunday and Christmas Day. Eventually he realised how much we truly didn't care, and stopped forcing us to go. _________________

Yeah, it's one of those where it's... you don't need to be at a church to worship God, i can do that from home should I wish to do so. But there's plenty of those and tbh, those are fairly important days to at least show up for if you believe imo. _________________

I heard an argument that the Church is more for the people than the god. The whole "fellowship" thing. I know some people do get something out of the community, but even when I was a "devout Mormon" I would have much preferred to worship God from the sanctity of my own bed. Especially at 8 AM. _________________ Support me on Patreon!

i often think to myself that the churches should be seen as a testament of humankinds possibilities if they believe in sth greater than they themselves are.
I go for city trips in Germany once or twice a year, and I visited A LOT of churches. if you think about how long ago and by what means they were build, you almost can't believe it. the hardships that had to be overcome are incredible. _________________
