I'm good for the most part too (CFS sucks as always, but what can you do).

Work's going alright (slow day today xD), and I finished my first accounting qualification - woot!

...now I just need to save up a bit of money and start my chartered accountancy course...! Very Happy

Mostly just been doing the occasional "pop-in". I'm pretty busy these days.

Been working on a Final Fantasy VIII Novelization, as well as some other original writing. Building a little bit of a following, even have a Patreon now.

Working night shift at a hotel again, and about to start a second job to make ends meet. Divorced, but things are on pretty good terms between Stef and I. Kyra's growing up pretty quick. About to begin kindergarten in the Fall.

And that's basically it, I guess.

Hows it been psychokind?

Yeah it's gotta be nice to work for a government that isn't in extreme chaos Laughing

Hope things are going smoothly with your family and your new tiny one. Treasure the newborn months. They go by super quick and when your kid stops taking mid-day naps then it's all over and you've got a little person on your hands. Very Happy

As our kween said. Smile

She'll be five years old on 26th June. Starts at a local elementary school in August. (Not sure how it differs in other countries, so quickie:

Elementary = Kindergarten, 1st grade and then up to either 4th or 5th grade in most cases (sometimes 6th).

Middle / Jr. High = 4,5, or 6th Grade up to 8th Grade.

High = 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th (Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior)

I love being a parent, but don't feel like... compelled to have a kid. You do you, fam. I genuinely despise people who go out of their way to act like being a parent makes them experts of everything, especially when they start telling other people that their lives are meaningless unless they have kids. Which happens a lot here in America. Biting

kindergarten starts from 3-6, then we start grade school. before kindergarten you can voluntarily bring your child to daycare, which we will start when she is 1 year old in september. 2 days a week à 5 hours. my wife wants to start working again Eek!

Nah, I have 4 nieces and a nephew, and my bro and sis in law will be adding to that sometime between June and August. Having them all in one room is going to be more than enough for me lol. Oldest is going to be 10 this year iirc, youngest is going to be 2 in... June? and then there's going to be the new babbin this year on top of that. I couldn't afford a kid just yet even if I wanted one, so for now I'll be kidless. I've got a good life without so far.

Also yes, been here for like half my life at this point, IT'S BEEN FOREVER.

I've never understood the drive some people have, this innate need to have children. Like something is missing in life. I don't judge people that do, but it's not something I've ever seen as something that I want or even need.

Theres a lot of people I know who want kids and sadly it didn't help their situations. One relative had a kid and now they're struggling to just get by. It's crazy to me. I felt like if I ever did have kids I would want to be financially stable enough to provide for them. I lived through periods where there was no food in the house growing up and I don't want to have a child suffer that because I couldn't properly provide.
