Aoiga- two things- one, my mum lives in Kentucky, give her a hi for me.

Second, just for your infortmation... that's not what I was refering to. In fact, I was refering to the whacky weather that had been happening. Maybe it was the gateways to hell being opened or something.

That'd suck, cause we gotta suffer through seven of dem. With some weird, weird stuff happening, like the dead coming back to life.

Anyway, back to what I was talking about. It's okay Axe, yeah, I don't make enough to pay for lunch, let alone anything else. I work two weeks and get a five hundred buck paycheck. For what I'm being put through, I consider my work like their getting a moron to do manual labor.

I mean, it's not tough, but other jobs pay more for less the work. Anyway, long story short, I'm tired, my back hurts, and I got stuck in a ladder the night before last. (Yet again, a story for another day)

*Pat* I know how you feel. I work at the customer service booth, and I get bitched at by my managers.

At my job there are three types of cuts: Cardboard cuts, boxcutter cuts, and paper cuts. I usually get all three all the time. Once that happens, you have to keep working- cause you gotta meet your minimum-box-per-hour amount. (Which is 27 or so... two minutes a box. Which might not be bad, except for certain things... it took me twenty minutes to unpack this box of two little tables, which are shit. They put so much packing on it, I cut myself five times per thing with my box cutter alone. :/)

I earn around 8.75 an hour, which, for Jersey's cost of living, is, believe me, not all much to be making. I know kids 16 that make more than I do and are still quite poor. It's sucks being a Jersianite. :/

Ah yes, the cuts. I've cut myself a few times with my boxcutter, it hurts. I may have had a cardboard cut before, I can't remember. I work with so many boxes it's hard to remember. And papercuts...those suck.

I've also had what I'll begin to call a bailercut. Damn jagged metal >< I was unloading the bailer (which smashes boxes, if you didn't know. ^^) and my hand slid right across a nice, sharp piece of metal. At first I thought I just scraped myself, but that wasn't the case.

As for what I make... depends on what I'm doing. I make between $7.25-$8.00 an hour. I can't live on my own and go to school like that, which is sad.

Seeing these posts make me want to not get a job.

Your only in danger if you go for a job in retail. Because retail really sucks. Overworking, underpaying bastards. ><; If I didn't need the money, I'd prolly quit and mooch for the rest of me days. =D


Anyway, it's not the cuts that suck. It's the people. Alot of them just really generally suck alot. =/ They are bitches/assholes, with alot of attitude, and are usually very evil and mean and stuff. Be forewarned; they are ebil. :/


Anyway, you should get a job. Money=stuff Stuff=happiness. So, money=happiness. =D

Yeah, don't go into retail, take it from me and SBiF. I work in a grocery store, and that is pure evil.

If there's anything worse than getting a bitchy customer about a retail item, such as Toys, furniture, ect... food can only be worse. Trust me, they are the worst of the worst. I absolutely hate customers (Hell I hate myself when I shop =P)


Be kind to your local retail worker. They are the hard-working citizens that put out the stuff they want you to waste your money on. =D

Good conribution. I love it when people tell me I'm doing a crappy job, and I just wanna say "Then why don't YOU do my job and show me how it's done?" So yes, take SBiF's advice and be nice to the people who work in the retail stores. They have enough crap to deal with, they don't want to have to take it from you.
