People, usually newbies, ask when it is too late to revive a topic. Usually people say anywhere between 15 - 90 days, most commonly, a month. However, they failed to take into consoderation that some topics are better off revived instead of more topics on the same subject cluttering the forums since it saves wasting a post linking to the old thread from the archives. So i came up with a universal equation!
It's too late to post when the summation of all the posts on the topic from the first post to the last post for function order of post multiplied by the value of post divided by no. of posts on topic is multiplied by the value of your post over the time from last post on the topic and the number of topics made in the forum in the last 30 days and returns a value less than one.
IOW, if [nτ/x=1]Σ(x * vτ/nτ) * (vσ/θ * [30θ/y=0θ]Σ(tφ/θ)
Any thoughts? _________________

You have too much time on your hands for one, and secondly isn't it a tad hypocritical since there's been like a year-long period where this board fell into stagnation?
Smart though _________________ Current Avatar commissioned work by Seiken Arts.

Well you see, as the density of posts decreases, the maximum age of the last post in a thread which you can reply to increases.
In this case, a one year stagnation = the age increasing to infinity. _________________
