That's actually a faked movie.  There is another movie floating around the intarwebs of a guy beating the original Super Mario Bros. in like 15 minutes that isn't faked.

Seen the Mario 3 movie. Yes, it was put together with saved and loaded states. It looks good, but it's not real.
