PC is a great invention, not only for gaming, but the games released for PC so far can't stand a match against the SNES games and the childhood memories they stand for...too bad, but PC is the second joice here.

yeah but most of the next-gen stuff is nothing but crap to my mind. I mean come on I dun need to buy a console just for a couple of shooters that all play the same, look the same and even mostly have the same story behind them (most likely something related to WWII I guess ... coz this topic is sorta sexy atm). Okay there are other games as well, but nothing I haven't seen a couple of times before allready.

The SNES games are neat indeed, especially the ones I own, but they are still very far from perfect and by saying so I don't refer to the graphics. They all have great concepts, but due to the lack of experience they are all crowded with game design flaws and sometimes even logic errors. N64 was more a party console and due to myself being an all-alone person most of the games weren't of any use to me ... and Majora's Mask just sucked, but Ocarina of Time was pretty cool xD. Dun like the newer Zelda games, coz they're flooded by all those mini games that make me lose focus on the story itself. I mean I like mini games, but hey there're some games I never played through completely just coz the mini games were better than the games they were meant to juice ... and that's sorta crappy .

PSX offered some nice games too, fascinating especially coz Sony actually never planned to enter the console war in the first place until Nintendo broke the CD-Loader extension treaty both firms developed for the SNES. But PS2 allready made me wanna say: WTF ... how the fuck did they manage to fuck up so many good games with sequels that are nothing but a 5% changed copy of the prequal. PS3 ... ah ... wish I had the money to buy one of those and smash it to pieces right in front of the waiting crowd right after the release premier. 600$ for a console? Another 1/2 year and I can get myself hardware for my computer making the PS3 bite the dust for less ...

Micro$hit XBlock isn't worth speaking about (no good games). The XBlock 360 seems to be sorta better since the list of upcoming RPGs is longer for it than for the PS3, but that never surprised me much. Sony found out that MMORPGs as well as Ego Shooters are easy and cheap to produce while flooding them with straight cash ... so why should they change it? A RPG doesn't need a super-processor and all the speed-shit the PS3 will offer, that's why a lot of times changed to XBox360 and I can understand em quite well. Why releasing games in the shadows of "the big ones" if they can write their own history? ^^

So all in all PSX was neat, SNES was good, but PC just roxXx0r2 the living shit outa jo! xD

At the beginning I thought, Nintendo is gambling here, the PS3 is gonna get a good share anyway, and M$ would end up in 3rd or 2nd place.

Now I think different.

Nintendo is kicking ass.
M$ early start is keeping it high.
And the PS3 is one of those cars that you buy just to show you have money, but never really use it. I mean, at least I expected that it got out games that were really good. I have heard of not even 1 great, or even just good game, for the PS3.

xbox's only good game is Halo. Fable's pretty good to, but isn't that available on PS2 anyway?

I am not Microsoft's fan, and I hardly vouch for them. I even use Linux XD However let's be honest here:

Gears of war.

I don't own an xbox/xbox 360, I haven't even seen one playing in real life. But since that game came out, all I have been reading on the net is about it. At the very least, Microsoft payed a whole damn lot of people, including people who proclaim themselves as being anti-M$, to say that it is a great game.

No. The PC. But meh. If the bf buys a 360, whatever. Depends on if there's anything worth playing on there.

Sony dropped the ball with PS3. An expensive console that many consumers and small-game developers cannot afford. No surprise there. I just can't wait for that final nail in its coffin, whenever that comes.
