Probably American History or English. If we replaced english with Latin it'd be okay. American History we need to study as a part of World history. We should study about the founding and whatnot, but there were so many more important battles that were fought in the world's history.

i think studying history's in depth are useless ... its the past ... let it go ... the only thing needed to remember is the mistakes so they don't repeat themselves ... don't have to go into detail about anything ... well ... my oppinion anyway ... and why would i care about american history? ... i don't even care bout australian history

Like Muerte said, the importance varioes depending upon what you plan on doing after school. Anyways, I put Trig/Calc. Why? Well, obviously, of the ones you listed, that's the only one you're not REQUIRED to take to graduate (at many schools; I took it). English is very neccesary. Teaches you to read. Not screw up your language. How to write letters and all that stuff. In high school, it's much more literature-oriented, which, while helpful, isn't quite NECCESARY> But, when I think back to high school, and remember how poorly many of the people still wrote and read, I realize they definitely needed it. Geometry, geology, earth physcis, and biology all have a lot of application to real life. History is important, I think. Mainly in the later years, where it teaches you a lot about government and politics. But, the early years are the setup for that, I think. Algebra... Varies in usefulness from person to person. But, never hurts to keep people fresh on their math. Too many people get out of school, then in a few years, need a calculator to figure out 12 * 12.
So, I said Trig/Calc, because it provides the least benefit outside of certain professions, I think.

I say history, who needs to know what the cunts did exactly in the past? If they teach us the MISTAKES and HOW TO LEARN from the tragedies in the past maybe it won't be so freakin pointless.

True Joan. World history is essential. It is mysterious, tragic, inspiring, and gripping. It can be pretty darn depressing as well. Sad

I find myself artistically inspired by events in history. Particularly the Vikings and ancients. I am warming up to the french revolution as well.

Trig/calc. I suck at math, and only the AP students take it in high school. Leave it for the people in college who wanna be rocket scientists.

As for me, history is my favourie subject. Very Happy Ever since I was little, I loved it. Why? I'm not too sure. It's just always been interesting to me.

History was alwyas my worst subject, because it was all memorization. All the other subjects (especially math, my best) had a lot of application. Science was my second worst, since it was also largely memory and little application. But, that doesn't mean I didn't like them. They were just hard for me. I think everyone likes history because you just listen to stories, really? Razz

Just one comment about the Calc/Trig stuff, if you plan to be an engineer or do stuff computer or machinery related that is definitly a must. You just don't use it *ever* when you are in high school.
