Taken from Tailen's LJ post.
Apparently, several blog sites are hit with DMCA's from the MPAA. Why? Because they have a string of numbers which can be used to get around the AACS DRM scheme for most HD-DVD movies on the market today, which allows you to crack and play them on Linux.
So what is this number?
Code: | 09 F9 11 02 9D 74 E3 5B D8 41 56 C5 63 56 88 C0 |
The MPAA claimed that this string is copyrighted despite the fact that it is NOT a prime number. Guys, this is the feather that broke the Camel's back. With the DRM already greatly disliked by all but the corporate bigwigs, this had indiced a mass riot that raged over Wikipedia, blogs and Digg.com. And guess what? I approve of it, so go around the internet and spread this number to as much places as you can, because everytime you post it on the web, you're kicking the MPAA and their greedy corporate pigs in the nuts. And do it in sites outside the USA so the DMCA can't touch them.
Netizens, tonight we dine in hell! Give the MPAA a big fuck you and make me proud! |
