My computer no longer running, thanks to my liquid cooling unit's 120mm fan. It just died while I playing Oblivion. Thank god for computer isnt damaged from fan failure, just 67 Celsius higher than original temperature 40 Celsius.

I finished submit the technical problem to CoolIT website for repairs/replacement. Hope I can get my computer up and running again.

Thats carppy. My bro also has a (self built)liquid cooling stuff going on for CPU, GPU and Northbridge (and maybe Southbridge), he's kinda pissed because he can't get rid of algas.

But he overclocked his CPU from 1.86 GHerz to ~3 GHerz!

One of technical specialists came and help me with problem. He had a replacement fan on way to my home. It may help get my computer fix up and run again like first day it booted up.

Sounds like he use wrong type of water. Water cooling systems required distilled water, not regular. My cooling unit is something different, keep it maintenance-free. It came in as whole system and easy to install in less than 10 minutes, all take is attach the cooling block to cpu and screw the unit to chassis.

I dont overclocking because I have enough power to run Vista Ultimate. I use Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9770 3.2 ghz quad-core processor. I plans to buy more memory to increase the performance.

Oh he did use distilled water, but it seems like some parts were not clean...
He's not satisfied with it, thats all...

Sounds like a good solution if you can install it in 10 minutes!

Hm! Look like I had to wait for replacement fan arrive in a week. The package is still in Canada. Mad

This is cooling unit I use on my computer.

CoolIT Freezone Elite

I can advise use special coolants used on water-cooling systems instead of plain distilled water. They may help prevent algae-forming and evaporate less.

Or you can buy the algae-eating fish and put them in cooling system. They will cleaning it in exchange for meals... lol just geek joke. Laughing

Oh dang it... Mom's laptop make me want buy MacBook Pro... Razz

my friends dad has his computer completely cooled with water, and his harddrives and other noisemaking things sourrounded by water, because his head explodes from monotone computersounds. price was about 11000 € or so. (he's the owner of a computer firm Very Happy )
