I think it's the Legend of Zelda game which has been less succesful, considering its quality. I think it's better than Oracles games, since it has got better story, better music (by Koji Kondo) and the dungeons design was great. Oracles games were also great, they had better graphics, the rings and I enjoyed the puzzles from Ages and the action from Seasons, but Link's Awakening keeps being special, it's the best 2D Zelda after A Link to the Past for me.

It doesn't seem to get the love it deserves.

Incredibly easy, though, even for a Zelda game. I went back to it a few months ago (after having not played it for years), and was still able to fly through in 6 hours.

Still a great way to spend those 6 hours, though.

You are not human! I don't think it's that easy though. Seasons and the Minish Cap were easier for me.

Anyway, when I play a game I like to talk with people, explore places, so I'm not made to make Time Attacks (when I finished Metal Gear Solid 3 it took me around 21 hours... because I talked with the codec at every time. However, I even did the Snake's Nightmare bonus game without knowing about it, so I really completed the game!).

um it is really easy ... it didn't took me any longer to finish it either. But it's neatly done really ... I liked it lots. Didn't play the Oracles games so I've got no clue if they're even easier.

Link's Awakening is just amazing. I prefer it to A Link to the Past, and all other Zelda games. I found that it just flows better than Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages, though I haven't beaten either of those 2 games.

I think the dungeons are really well-designed and the items you get are really great. The bonuses in the DX version are nifty as well.

That was the hidden 'colour' dungeon in the graveyard.

I think it was in the town library where you could find a semi-cryptic map that showed which tombstones to push in which order. Doing so would open the dungeon's entrance.

That dungeon relied on the use of colours for its puzzles (hence its appearance in the colour version only). Completing the dungeon would allow you to choose either a red tunic (doubled your offensive power, like carrying around a piece of power constantly), or a blue tunic (double defense, like a guardian acorn) as your prize.

By going back through the dungeon, you could switch tunics if you wanted.

I have found my heroes. Link's Awakening has been my favorite Zelda since it came out in 1993.

Actually, it's less underated than one might think. It remains one of the highest selling Game Boy games ever, right behind Pokemon and Tetris, and even influenced many handheld adventure games.

Compared to the rest of the series, however, I'd say it would rank as one of the top three underated Zeldas; right behind Four Swords Adventures and The Adventure of Link. Compared to the Oracle series, it's definitely better, albeit less challenging. The puzzles in the Oracle series were HARD, and that's just all there is to it.

OMG! There's so many wonderful things I could say about LA, but I'll save it for another time. If anyone has any questions (locations of heart pieces, color dungeon, all 25 seashells) feel free to ask me. I'm a Zelda guru, and LA is my forte.

Oh, I forgot, here's how to get into the color dungeon.

After you beat Goponga Swamp (dungeon 2) and return Bow-Wow to Madam Meow-Meow, head to the cemetary, which is east of the Witch's Hut. Go to the bottom right area and push the gravestones in this order:

Bottom-Right: Push Down
Bottom-Left: Push Left
Top-Left: Push Up
Top-Center: Push-Right
Top-Right: Push Up

I have played "The Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past" and have only gotten to the Dark Palace located in the Dark World.

But then I gave the game back to a friend, because it was his, and he probably wanted it back a lot. So now, I can't get any further on the game.

You could download the ROM and an emulator and finish it! Very Happy

"A Link to the Past" is one of my favourite SNES games, playing it "for the first time" again would be awesome, so you better enjoy every second of the game Very Happy Wink

ROMs are bad, you law-breaking criminal. Mad

You mean he could buy a Wii and purchase the game through the virtual console, and play it legit. Cool Guy

I mean, I don't use ROMs. They're bad.

...... Shifty

If you mean which Zelda games are on the virtual console, so far there's:

The 2 NES Zeldas
Link to the Past
Ocarina of Time

As for a whole list of VC games, here you go.

I'm pretty sure that's up to date. Meh/Worried
