I wrote this the other day, and thought you might enjoy reading it.
I know what you're going through ; The pain and suffering of having to go through an imperfect existence in an imperfect world. I know, it sucks having your cared-for and nurtured world-view shattered and crushed by the unforgiving grinding mill of reality. We've ALL had to go through with that when we outgrew our childhood. The sole difference being that we've gotten over it and lived our lives in spite of the newfound ill-fated knowledge that the world is not made of nerf, while you are stuck in limbo, despairing over the world's imperfections and too terrified to live your lives.
If there is an important lesson to be learned in life, it's that there is no such thing as perfection in this world, and that imperfection is a vital element to human civillization. When you think about it, we live in a world where the very things that kill and destroy lives are responsible for helping to create and nurture, even renew lives. So rest assured, every tragedy in life is offset by a silver lining. You may not see it, or think of it as significant, but it's there. It's the wonderful double-edged sword nature of this world that we live in that makes it so interesting.
it may seem outrageous and crazy to you, but the fact that the world is inherently imperfect is what make life all the more worth living. in a perfect world, everything you do WILL be done perfectly right on the first try. You may think that it's a good thing, but no. That right there would entail the loss of the satisfaction of getting things done right after so many failed tries. We wouldn't be seeking new challenges because we would know for certain that we would ace it, thus taking away the element of the challenge. Not only that, it would also mean that an entire culture surrounding performance arts would never have had the chance to exist, because nobody would ever be impressed.
One other thing to think about is the nature of human inspiration and their drive to forward practically all aspects of human civillization. Whoever said that necessity is the mother of all invention could not have been more correct. Couple that with the proposition that necessity arises from the imperfect nature of the world, then you might finally understand why imperfection is such an integral part of human civilllization. Without it, or the perception of such, we'd all still be apes lolling around in ignorant bliss, never needing any knowledge, communication, morality or social system whatsoever because we'd have had it all made. There would be no culture, no art, no philosophy, no writing, no maths, no science, no Alexander the Great, no Isaac Newton, no Marie Curie, no Albert Einstein no Stephen Hawking and certainly no literature. i wouldn't even be writing this message to you because we would never have had our childhood fantasies shattered, nor would we have had the technology or literary means to write and transmit messages to each other around the world.
So. What am I trying to tell you here? Embrace and rejoice in the inspiration to humankind that imperfection brings. overcome your fear of the world and never let it hinder you from living your life, because only then are you able to test your mettle and strength of character as a human being. The world may not be perfect, but it certainly is no excuse not to go out and answer your calling and helping to move the world forward instead of wallowing in your own despair and dragging those around you into it. If everyone pitches in and live their lives, helping the world better itself in the process, it would be a much better place to live in and you will be much more happier for it.
By the way, don't take it too personally when people couldn't give you their undivided attention when you complain about the world's imperfection, because for all it's worth, they simply have better things to do. Criticising them for allegedly being "indifferent" to your plight is absolutely shameful, for unless you are able to stand up and contribute to the world, you are no better.
This may also explain why I absolutely hate suicidal folk and suicide "victims" with a searing passion. Not only do they willfully inflict the pain of bereavement on those they left behind, or desire to, it is also one of the most selfish, disgusting, cruel, heartless and tasteless examples of wasting one's life away I have seen.
Life is precious, do not waste it away over issues that I know you have the strength of character to overcome. Now don't get me wrong, there is no shame in being sad, we all have our emotions and should feel free to express them without reproach. What's reprehensible is when you abuse the empathetic nature of humans for the personal gain of attention. _________________

Who says there's no intelligence on the internet?
Very nice read, and I couldn't agree more. Particularly about the suicide 'victims'; suicide is the most cowardly way out of a situation. Not only does it prove you don't have the mettle to overcome whatever has been thrown at you (not to mention any number of other people have probably experienced it as well), but it only serves to hurt others. Using it as a quick fix to end pain is selfish and cowardly, and I find it very difficult to empathize.
You deserve a pie for that post. Any flavour. _________________

I see it like this. If the world were perfect, we'd be perfect. And if we were perfect, we wouldn't exist. Life itself is imperfect as stated, so we have to not exist to be perfect. To be neutral. To be the zenith of the entropy of the universe.
Poor emos. They don't seem to understand that apart of their lives is to suffer horrible. Perhaps more horribly than others. They don't see the beauty in that however. To suffer imperfections and flaws in itself is perfect. A perfect no human being can begin to like because it isn't the perfect humans see. We humans see perfect as having no problems, no pain, no death, no disappointment. The truth is that perfection is far from that. Quite opposite to the contrary. Without problem in the universe, we can't progress or fade. We can't experience anything, therefore, why should we even exist? There is no point, ergo, we have no purpose. _________________ "That which invokes my rage and great, furious anger shall turn to a raging nuclear sea of fire!" |

I'm hung up on this point. I personally can't fully decide whether they're ignorant of this point or whether they embrace it.
From one point of view, it seems that they should enjoy suffering, but in the end they probably don't so it might be a backfiring situation. |
