everytime i drive to work, i think to myself "where the hell did some guys get their licence from?"

i admit, i also dont have a licence for a car, yet (in september Very Happy), but i already DO know how to drive and i DO know what streetsigns mean... obviously, some drivers dont... yesterday evening, when i was driving home from the aikido training, i almost ran into a car (actually, the car almost hit ME), because this girl apparently DID NOT KNOW THAT WHEN THE FLASHSIGN SAYS "RED", SHE MUST NOT TURN LEFT Biting

People can just zone out when they drive, I've had a few close calls with idiots also.

Biggest problem around here is tailgaters.

I'm sorry I dare to do the speed limit, but I'm not going to fly through town just because the guy behind me didn't leave the house 10 minutes earlier like he should have.

When I'm out on the country roads, it's a different story. I'll do the extra 10 km/h. But not in the city, where people (especially kids) can dart out in front of you.

Bah... if they don't like my driving, they can go around me. That's what the passing lane is for.

Hear, hear! Actually, what I like to do (because I drive on alot of country highways with very few passing lanes) is if someone is tailgating me to slow down to, like, 25 mph. It's funny.

there was a nervous tailgater right behind me always letting his motor howl but didnt overtake me so i thought to myself "come on, now hit the brakes as hard as you can..." and i was like THIS close, but i didnt... maybe i should have and he definitelly has his lesson learned Neutral

It's strange. I consider my country to be one of the worsts when it comes to drivers, but 'tailgating' isn't done here often.

Usually what happens is breaking the rules in stupid ways. Like trying to take over in a street that you are not allowed to, just when there are a bunch of cars coming your way, or keep going even with red lights ( which often causes huge traffic jams ) .

Oh, and many people here pay to the person who gives the driving test.

Well, personally as far as I go... I've been in a car during... four accidents. Three of which were my own...

1.) It was Halloween of 04', and I was driving for my like, fifth time. I was backing out of a driveway into a small street- and backed into someone's parked car.

2.) It was Thanksgiving of 04', and I was driving past a school where a football game was being played. Both sides of the street were congested with traffic. I sideswiped a parked car- in front of a police officer.

3.) I was driving to my friends house, and I was a little peeved. I was about to park, when someone told me to park on the opposite side of the street. I made an illegal U turn- and hit my friend's car. My friend's parked car.

4.) My friends and I were up in Maine, picking up another friend from that state. He'd been living there for a few months, and decided to come back to NJ. My friend Chris was driving. We came to a stop at a red light. He put his head back, fell asleep- and rolled into someone's car in front of him.

There were probably others, but no one nearly as intresting as those four.

yesterday i had an accident again, but this time i wasnt driving...

a friend of mine drove to the supermarket and another friend of us was driving right behind us. he had the stronger car and obviously he didnt hit the brakes hard enough so he ran into us when we were stopping when the lights turned red... actually, nothing serious did happen we just went like "what the...!" and the numberplate of the car i was sitting into got crushed a lil bit but thats all... anyway, the whole situation was a result of "i show you that my motor is louder than yours"
