Found this in the game's script:

Yomi:
Ark!
Some zombies are
coming in here!

Hurry, hide!

Yomi:
Ark!
Don't go out!
Hide!

Zombie A:
A stranger is
among us today.

I hear he beats us
up the instant he
sees us.

Zombie B:
Well, we shouldn't
just take it.

We better find and
catch this person
soon...

Zombie A:
What was that?
There's a commo-
tion outside.

Zombie B:
What do you know?
So much for my
break.

Yomi:
Hey Ark...

Maybe the resi-
dents here don't
realize that they
are zombies?

Where exactly do I trigger this event? I never encountered it (got the German version).

That part isn't in the game, so it was probably taken out. Sad

Nope, it most definitely wasn't in the German version.

It was probably removed only to be discovered when someone perhaps cracked the ROM file.

But it could also very well be a rumor...

It can very well be a scene that was once meant to be in the game. The .exe file of Worms Armageddon, for example, contains a lot of strings that sound like they should have been part of the game, but they're nowhere to be found when you play it. I'd bet this here is a similar case, nice find anyhow. Smile

Nope, it was on the actual cartridge. Developers often leave some beta stuff in the copies of their games. They're just too lazy to take the unused stuff out and clean the code up.

Still, I am glad they didn't include this scenario. It would totally ruin the horror feeling of Louran. But it doesn't destroy the idea that the zombies are in fact fake. They're just conjurations of meilin right? or so i thought.

the Script is in the Game !

Its at North Louran at a House with 178 gems in a Chest.

Its run if Ark goes under the Table (looks funny if Ark crawl goes backwards Rolling Eyes )

It can be even run repeatedly, until a certain Story script disable it.
Just follow the path, and you'll end up at the north side. Walk to the right and enter the first house, open the chest (containing 178 gems), then crawl under the table to see a hidden scene.
(warning may Spoiler in the Walkthrough)

its was also there but with a terrible Translation.

The one Zombie is named "King Zombie" ( Eerr/WTF ) and they talk something about a Zombie Slayer (=ark).

But then Yomi (Fluffy in Ger. Version) also says the don't
realize that they are zombies. Duh! Claude M. Moyse work....

The Horror is that the Zombies didn't knowing that there Zombies and think Ark is Slaughter. they live in a Matrix or something like that Very Happy

But the German Version ruins the Atmosphere.

snow rock is right, I hated 2 places in Terranigma and that was Louran and Spain (and a little bit of Dragoon Castle) they scared the shit out of me
to add a bit of comic relief would of dissipated it
