Okay so Saturday night I was taking a cab home from work. The driver stops about 15 feet if that from the light, which is red. These two young Asian girls (both underage) try to merge in front of us.
Now we were in the left lane (which is a left turn only lane) and they were in the right lane (which is a right turn only lane). My driver pulls up a bit as they are making this maneuver and we hit them in the side.
Of course these girls start yelling at the poor guy (who I later found out was working on his birthday ) even though they were completely in the wrong. Also, they were on their way to a party with beer in the car, not opened, but still they were both UNDERAGE!!!
So let's tally the violations shall we:
1. Changing lanes at the intersection.
2. Changing lanes at a red light.
3. Passing on the right.
4. Possesion of alcohol.
As a result I get whiplash and had to be checked out the next day. I'm on Codeine and Flexitril and guess who is paying for it. I intend to send their insurance a little bill. |

Well, sue their asses, I'd say. You can also get some compensation for the pain. |

Wow, that whole "Asians can't drive" thing isn't just a stereotype.
Anyway, yes, they screwed up and deserve some insurance action. And with any luck, they'll get some extra shit for that underage-with-booze business.
But whiplash? That sucks. How fast was everyone going when the crash happened? This was at an intersection, so it couldn't (or at least, shouldn't) have been too hard of a hit; strange that whiplash would still come out of it. _________________

Haha, Dave Chappelle FTW!
And whiplashes can occure even at a slow speed, if he wasn't prepared... |

Wow, that totally sucks. You should, like, throw things at them until they give you money.
I feel sorry for the driver, too... All that on his birthday? That sucks. _________________

We were going really slow, but the collision caused me to bump forward. And yeah the police took care of the whole mess. They didn't ask me any questions though, which I thought was weird. I am going to the company tomorrow to get all the insurance info and am probably gonna seek some legal advice. Really all I want is just the coverage of my medical bills and maybe an extra $50 in "pain and suffering". I don't believe in people sueing each other for no real reason, and afterall the whiplash is pretty much gone now (at least the pain is, thanks to the Codeine). |
