Testimony to the fact that you don't need talent to make it in music.
By the way, I'm releasing a rap album in a couple of months. It's mainly me talking through songs about how I'm gonna beat women 'cuz 'dem hos owe me money. I expect to make millions.
Then I'll blame internet file sharing because I only sold 4.6 million albums instead of 4.600001. That's another $20 out of MY pocket that these greedy assholes are taking. I've got kids to feed and buy mansions for. _________________

I hate how the music industry complains that they aren't making any money because of file sharing. Well shit, System of a Down condones it with their album title "Steal This Album!" and the fact that $100 isn't going to cut into the millions they make everyday from being famous. It REALLY makes me mad that they expect people to buy CD's for $20. That's overpriced for the fact that there's only 8/11 songs on the CD (so that averages out to $1.89/$2.50 PER SONG). If they made it cheaper (which, God forbid they actually DO, they'll be missing $1.09/1.50 out of their total sales.
"OMGWTF I'M POOR!" is what they'll be saying.

People have turned to file sharing because they finally woke up and realized CDs cost next to nothing to press, but $20 to buy.
Artists make their millions on tours and shyte anyway, a few missed CDs won't cost them. _________________

Seriously, even burnable CD's are expensive. A few cents to make, and then their retail value is $15 for 10 of them. I'm sure the actual cost, meaning how much the stores buy them for are nothing more than $3. _________________

So are people, say these greedy assholes. That's all it really comes down to.
So I think I'll download as much music as humanly possible, then laugh at how much money I'm not spending. _________________

I only support the artists/composers if I really like them, like Gackt, Uematsu, and Sakuraba. _________________

I love it when the masses complain, "What?! How DARE these people try to tell me how much they want to sell their OWN products for!" I especially like the, "$2.50 a SONG!?!?! My god!! Musical talent isn't worth anywhere NEAR as much as a bag of chips!!!!!!!!!!" I'm not trying to be mean, but it just pisses me off when people think something is overpriced, so they go get it for free. Especially when they still have the nerve to complain about it. _________________ Overwhelmed with gestalt possibilities... |

It's not that. I know you aren't trying to be mean. I just hate how overpriced things get. Musical artists and movie actors are money-grubbing bastards. All they want is money and fame so they can be happy. Never do they really contribute to their fans (and if they do, it's something cheap, I've noticed), and they just want more money so they can live in HUGE houses that people in slums only wish they could have.
I don't appreciate being part of those people who have to dish out $20 each time a CD comes out that I want. Why buy an entire CD for one song? I used to do that and hate the rest of the CD Yes I download music for free (how do you think I have more than 2500+ mp3's? XD) but if I like the artist, I'll see how much more of it I like... THEN will I buy their product.
I like to support the people, but when I don't like the rest of their stuff, I don't buy it. _________________

That's a good philosophy, as well as the fact that I can't fucking FIND those albums I want to buy. XD _________________

A lot of them I have to pay import prices for (which isn't bad, at least my money is going to someone I support), but it takes me a year to get a hold of them. So I might as well download them until I can actually buy it. _________________
