Has anyone seen the new star wars movie? Being the dork i amd, i had to see it the first day. It definitely competes with the old trilogy.. this movie was awesome. Mr Lucas did a fine job linking all of them together so well. Did anyone here see it? |

Unfortune thing for me....I had to wait for Star Wars III with open captions (subtitles) in two weeks. My sister really pissed off about that special showtime date but she promised a movie ticket for me. _________________

I'm still sketchy with Hayden's acting, but I like lightsaber battles
I'd like to see a variation to the lightsabers
like with different type of weapons, like axes or scythes or gauntlets, anything different
and I'd love to see freelancer Jedis with like white lightsabers or something...
other than that, movie wasn't too bad _________________ You're just a human being, my dear, sweet child |

hell yeah!!, lights up around their arms, and they use martial arts and shit, but it kinda sounds like a stupid idea anyway...might burn off their fingers if they move it or something _________________ You're just a human being, my dear, sweet child |

unless it wrapped around their arms with some flexible material of somesort covered by a layer of pure energy that rips the very fabric of reality of whatever it touches ... main problem with that is if you accidently come into contact with yourself _________________ It's high time I revised this signature. |

I agree, Muerte.
George Lucas' weakpoint is dialog. For the old films, he hired screenwriters to express his story but for the new fils {I am not entirely sure about this} he wrote it all himself.
I liked the dueling and battles of course, but the acting and dialog needed work. Like I was telling Divine yesterday, George is more imaginative than ever before, but his actual direction is starting to fail.
I still liked it alot though, despite these flaws. _________________

Hayden's acting BETTER have been better than the second movie, or else I'll scream and yell right there in the movie theater (I haven't seen it yet) _________________

You know, the current story of Episode 1 - 6 is pretty weak. If you want a good star wars storyline, read any book of the New Jedi Order series. There's about 20-30 or so, but I recommend Traitor. It's one of the best ones in the series. _________________ I am... |

The last two in the original trilogy wasn't even directed by Lucas, and those two were the best.
And the best books in the Star Wars line of them are the originals. I've got a few of them. Can't forget the Young Jedi KNights line of books either.

My sister wants to see it for her own resons...as for me, I'm not really a Star Wars fan. Although I do like the lightsabers and R2D2.
The only reason why is were afraid of the fans... |

Bad acting or not, its still a great movie. The acting in the new star wars movies have never been too amazing, but i still think they are good movies (being the star wars nerd i am) The only part that made me cringe was when darth vader woke up and was like "nooooooooo" lol. |
