Halfway through the song she does the freaky Shinji "I'M SO SCREWED UP  scream.  I think it's from one of those live seiyuu concerts or something.

I always liked this song. There was an online memorial service I heard once [for an online friend who passed away] and I heard it first there. It awakes old pains, but also seems strengthening.
And yes, Castlevania DOES rule.
