There should be a specific area on TerraEarth for people who want to open up shops. I believe that would stimulate a desire to earn and spend gems and give a place for would-be enterpreneurs. _________________ Current Avatar commissioned work by Seiken Arts.

That might be a good idea. Aside from a struggling Tandro enterprise, we have no use for these damn things. _________________

Maybe someone could have a bake shop, so people could like, throw pies at each other and stuff. _________________

Well we sorta run that gambit. I do a weekly magazine called UFO (subscriptions run 100 Gems for a year).
But I'll let you in on a little secret... when TE:A comes out there will be something called the Inter-Dimensional Store, where you can use Forum Gems to buy cheat codes for the games, expansion packs and unlockables! _________________ Current Avatar commissioned work by Seiken Arts.

Sounds like a recession is going on here at TE... we need to stimulate this economy!
Here is my thorough plan to reinvigorate the TerraEconomy;
-Free health care to all (Me's)
-A economic reform- all your gems are belong to me.
-I call for a 2009 TE Government Tax Rebate- similiar to the one sent out in 2008 for US citizens- of 20 GEMs to stimulate the stalled economic growth.
-A TE Bank- where you can collect interest on all GEMs deposited.
-A TE Store dedicated solely to the kween- all kween merchandise available for reasonable prices. (For instance, a poster of said kween will run you roughly... 30,000 GEMs, payable to me, of course. =D Or raini if she wants. I don't want her to hit me. )
-Higher taxation and audits on all TE members who did not pay taxes last year. (Meaning all of us!)
I hope this plan is easy for everyone to understand. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at anytime before dark, but not when the sun's out.
...Seriously, stores would be a cool feature, prehaps we could find a seperate page to list them for easier forum access? Of course, with list of all services available by specific users. _________________ "...at first it's fine and you think you have a dark side – it's exciting – and then you realise the dark side wins every time if you decide to indulge in it. ..... I want a Raini poster.
How about I just pay a few hundred now, and get the rest later? You know I'm good for it. _________________

I actually (in my younger, impetuous days... about three months ago) thought it'd be cool if somebody with a little extra money and some time on their hands started selling stuff like iTunes Cards, Store GC's and other stuff like that using Forum Gems as a medium. The amount required would be pretty high (a $15 iTunes card would trade for like 5000 Gems), but it would stimulate discussion.
(And I wouldn't mail the card, just PM the code). _________________ Current Avatar commissioned work by Seiken Arts.

I was thinking about selling video game soundtracks or single tracks for GEMs.
I'd probably have to open a Sendspace account or something first, though. _________________
