          | I was just wondering to see whether I should get a Wii or just get the Gamecube version. |

As someone who's played both versions, I can say that the wii version is just as good as the GC version.

Random fact: everything is mirrored in the wii version. Link is lefthanded, but since most people are right-handed, they changed everything to a mirrored version for the wii, so Link is right-handed. _________________

^ Yes, so if you play one version and use a walkthrough at any point, make sure it's the right version. Too many morons complaining that they went West like it told them, and they didn't find what they were looking for (West on GC = East on Wii).

Anyway, the Wii controls are fine, but you can tell it was meant to be a GC title. This one just feels like it was meant to be played with conventional controls.

Don't listen to GameSpot. The way they carry on, they make it sound as though the game is much more difficult to control than it really is (they say the Wii controls are too hard to use in a swordfight, and the GC controls are imprecise for everything else).

Personally, I'd recommend the GC version, but I imagine you could adapt easily enough to either control scheme. |

Fun way to determine who really tried to walk through the game all on theirselves and who just claimed it xD. _________________ AtW Studios

Having played both, I would definitely reccomend the GCN version. The Wii controlls are fun, but they distract from the core of the game (in my opinion). That and the mirrored effect kinda ruins the experience of seeing areas on the map that hark back to Ocarina of Time. Though once you are used to the Motion-controls it's not so bad, they still tend to slow down gameplay in comparison.

My biggest issue for choosing the GCN version is that you can control the camera freely, which increases speed of movement during battles, etc. On the Wii, you can only set the camera behind you. _________________

At the very least, the GC controls feel better to me because it just feels more like a GC game. It wasn't meant to be made for motion controls, they just kind of tacked them on to coincide with the Wii release.

There's a Wii-specific Zelda in the works though, so I imagine that will make much better use of the remote functions. _________________
