I dunno, I just can't stand Rap, they make my ears bleed.

Genres I like :

Rock ( Best genre ever!)
J-Pop ( None of that stupid American pop crap. )
Metal ( If only the vocalists can sing instead of scream, this is a pretty cool genre )
Electronica ( Bring in da powahsynth! )
Orchestral ( Mmm, the strings and flutes and the brass. Ohhh! The beautiful orchestration of classical instruents! *Joygasms* )
Celtic ( Need I say more? )

Wow, Joan. Our genre list is almost identical.

Rock (Only if with meaningful lyrics and unique melody, wonderful stuff)
J-Pop (For so many non-offensive reasons)
J-Easy Listening (I guess this is what it is, Japanese artists like the wonderfully voiced Maaya Sakamoto and Akino Arai, sometimes fits with J-pop)
Electronic (Perhaps a better fitting word for it, my tastes vary from the hard hitting hilarious Bogdan Raczynski to the mellow accordian infused IDM of Balún)
Orchestral (Preferably woodwinds. They sound more melodic to me)
Celtic (On occasions)

Cursing doesn't really bother me, after all, I have been Joan's friend for a few months now.

I like Linkin Park too. I just don't think they are the most innovative band in the world or were the first to discover the Japanese culture. Take that and minus some of the excess angst and I would listen to them alot.
