So I have been bored as hell lately, and so I've found the sheet music for various video games, most notably Zelda. I entered the notation into Cakewalk Audio Pro 9 (kikas program for MIDI composers. Joan, you oughta look into it). My first song ever was one of my favorite pieces of VG music, the original Zelda Dungeon theme. I did the original voicing plus 10 others. Most impressive was a Distortion Guitar on Treble and a Bass on Bass. Some other good ones was a Pizzicato String/ Koto mix which sounds very oriental, and a Timpani/Steel Drum mix. I'm gonna post these online soon so you all can hear them.
[In retrospect: Um, Raini could you move this to the Interest's Board. Thanx]. |

Done and done. Also, Cakewalk is what Joan uses. _________________

That's pretty cool. So how do you get this program? Is it free on the interweb? _________________

Alas, no. You might find an older version or demo for shareware, but we had to buy our copy. It prints out musical scores that you can write yourself, and it's just hella good for would-be composers. |
