My First Anime-Con

Yay! I just got back from my first ever Anime Convention!

...and I use the word "Convention" very loosely. There were a few vendors, a couple boards, a game room, and a raffle, but it was more like a "gathering" than a "convention". At any rate, I had fun. I went dressed as Issac from Golden Sun and my friends went as Chun-Li and Kingdom Hearts Cloud Strife (expect pictures soon!). Also, I came back with some nice swag: a Black Yoshi Doll, a Fighter Kirby Plush, a Death Note, and a Black Materia for my friend.

All in all, not a really noticeable convention, but I do live in Arkansas, so I can honestly say it was more than I really expected. Next time I'll try to go to one in Texas. ^^

Anyway, what was your first convention like? Have you ever cosplayed? How did it go? Discuss.

ive never been to a convention, nor have i cosplayed. might consider going to one this year though.

my best friend and former gf once pulled me to a anime con cause shes totally into it...
i was feeling a bit lost between guys with costumes, wigs and very complicated dyed and styled hair...

Same as Everphoenix, never been to one, and on the idea of cosplay i have no idea who i'd go as, i mean i can think of a handful of characters but choosing between them would take me a while, but it's safe to say that i'd most probably have to dye my hair either red, blue or blonde if i did, the costume would be a pain in the ass too...

Go as Ash Ketchum for the lols, or mudkip. I wouldn't go probably but cosplaying can be pretty cool when done right, check it out

it looks quite a bit gay I'm sorry^^ but you can say that about almost every cosplayed-male on an animecon.

it'd probably be better if the colours weren't as bright as they are, to me you can tell it's a costume, i mean it's more blatently obvious than that it's the clothing of a game character, the colours are just too bright, apart from that it's fine, the jeans are the only convincing part, no comment on your friend's costume, i never really liked the kingdom hearts cloud, the second one was better.

on top of EverPhoenix' comment: he's got spikey hair too, you just don't quite cut it...
