|
|
We're working on a Christmas Carol parody set in a Day of the Dead environment.
The Story
A highly fortified military base located underground, called the Manger. First Sergeant Scrooge led his unit to secure the base and protect civilians against a zombie uprising. The evil tyrant Santa Claus, used poisoned candy canes to spread an infection which caused corpses of those who had eaten them to come back from the dead as his mindless servants.
Now with time running out before the zombies rise again and Christmas Day 2010 is the last Christmas ever, Scrooge has a plan to unleash a massive Tsar bomb called the Baby Jesus. If this is detonated, it will kill all the zombies, but will likely also kill the citizens of the Manger.
Warrant Officer Cratchet wants to unleash a smaller detonation called Rudolph: The Red-Switch Time Bomb which will only affect the zombies, but is having trouble putting the final touches on it. With time running out, Scrooge prepares to press the button.
Cratchet begs for one more day of work… Christmas Day. Scrooge refuses this request as he needs everybody, soldier and civilian, ready for combat. That night he has a battle fatigue induced dream with spirits of Generals Past, Present and Future who discuss strategy with him, the last one being his future son who (if Scrooge detonates the baby Jesus) will never be born. He snaps out of it and realizes that the only way to save humankind is to go with Cratchet’s idea.
However when he wakes up with this brilliant insight, it turns out that it’s too late. The battle has begun and zombies have invaded the manger. With his trusty weapon at his side, he goes out in a blaze of glory.
Includes such epic lines as:
"You there, boy? What day is?"
"Today?! Sir it's judgment day!"
And then the boy is eaten by zombies.

Bout halfway through the screenplay. Came up with a potential tag line:
"Deck the Hall with Holly's Bowels." _________________ Current Avatar commissioned work by Seiken Arts.
