LA Times is highly liberal. They're the paper that changes "pro-life" to "Anti-abortion rights" in every article. Maybe they're pulling a Terry Schiavo. _________________ Current Avatar commissioned work by Seiken Arts.

He's dead. He was pronounced at around 6:00 PM EST (3:00 PM PST). TMZ reported on Fox that is was from cardiac arrest. _________________ "...at first it's fine and you think you have a dark side – it's exciting – and then you realise the dark side wins every time if you decide to indulge in it. The big stars die so young. Only 50. Same age as Bernie Mac when he died about a year or two ago ><

In his high period he did define the Pop genre. His unhealthy relationships notwithstanding he is a music legend. It's a shame. _________________ Current Avatar commissioned work by Seiken Arts.

Sad truth is, now that he's gone, he'll probably be more popular than ever. Same thing happened to Elvis. His image with return to when he was at his height of popularity. This, also, will probably eclipse the news stories of any of the other passing celebrities (Including Farrah Fawcett, who also passed this morning). _________________ "...at first it's fine and you think you have a dark side – it's exciting – and then you realise the dark side wins every time if you decide to indulge in it. Ahh when I was a toddler MJ was the hight of cool. "Maxel Jacksel" I'm told I called him. But pretty much from when I can remember there was a cloud over his popularity that no one wanted to talk about. He was never as relevant after that, except as a joke
We all should have seen this coming really, the King of Rock'n Roll barely lived past 40 (42 IIRC) and the 50 year old King of Pop was training to dance like he did when he was in his late teens or early 20s.
Sad to say I listened to some of his music yesterday and was able to enjoy it more than in years, since I do believe the allegations brought against him (much as I didn't want to), and I now know there can't be any more abuse. He was a great talent who was fucked up and used by his father, and warped in other ways over time.
A tragic life, hopefully his music will continue to bring joy to oblivious fans for generations to come. RIP

Haha I don't mean to pick on ya man, but who's using verbal gymnastics now? Most everyone does at times, intentionally or not. Also don't want to get into the whole abortion thing here of all places, but I'm curious. Do they at least also call the apposing movement "pro-abortion rights" rather than "pro-choice"? Since "choice" and "life" are such loaded and debatable terms no matter what way you look at it. Maybe they're trying to be more fair in their terminology? |

his training started when he was about 5(!) years old, all by his cruel dad who claimed "what? I never HIT him. I only whipped him with a girdle. but I never hit him really" _________________

You make a fair point, but there is a difference between intentional propogation of desired terminology and using a more PC term in the name of tact. Pedo or not the man is dead, and my belief is that once you are dead, you're mortal debts are squared. I may not mourn you, but I won't dog you out after you're dead.
What God does, of course, is a different story entirely and not my place to say. _________________ Current Avatar commissioned work by Seiken Arts.
