Yes, Harrisonburg had its first snow of the season (that is to say it is having it as we speak). Just light flakes that won't even come close to sticking (the ground is still too warm), but still!
I like the snow! _________________ Current Avatar commissioned work by Seiken Arts.

We're supposed to have a snowstorm on Monday.
I live in Nevada.
The most that will most likely happen is a light dusting and then sun. _________________

That reminds me of an old quip about Mormons.
Something to the effect of a person from California would go to Utah to see snow for the first time and a person from Utah would go to California to see a black guy for the first time.
Don't know what made me think of that joke, but whatever. _________________ Current Avatar commissioned work by Seiken Arts.

Jason: That's borderline offensive on so many levels.
It's supposed to snow today in Jersey. In fact, I totally forgot, and agreed to go to work tonight. _________________ "...at first it's fine and you think you have a dark side – it's exciting – and then you realise the dark side wins every time if you decide to indulge in it. it's been snowing in the mountains here. they are our air conditioning expect sometimes they break and make this place REAL cold..
(edit--for clarity, i dont live on mountains. it'd be nice.
i live at least fifty miles from the closest one, and the ones that get snowed on are over 100 miles away--now i know that alone doesn't effect the temperature here, it's the overall weather and such

It's been unusually snow-free around here.
This past November was the first one in 70 years where there was no snow. Well, technically, snow did fall, but it could barely be counted as snow, and there was so little of it that they couldn't measure it.
We're now almost a week in to December, and still no snow. It should be coming any time now, but we've usually had it for at least a couple of weeks by now.
I'm fine with this. Each day without snow is (hopefully) one day shorter Winter will be. I fucking hate snow. _________________

I still get icy rain all time in Virginia Beach. I have a hard time to keep carpets and floors free of mud. Ever nasty weather turned my backyard into small patch of mud. _________________

@SBF: There's nothing borderline about it, man. Besides we didn't say it, it was a joke to make fun of us.
Oh yeah. That little thing I said about it not being cold enough to stick. That was crap. We have six inches of snow on the ground and my back porch looks like the lair of the freakin' Ice Queen!
We NEVER get snow like this? What happened?! _________________ Current Avatar commissioned work by Seiken Arts.

Here in London, the weather actually remains pretty mild over the Xmas period. I think the temperature is wavering between 5 and 10C, with a slight bit of wind chill on that to make it feel cooler, but we rarely drop below freezing in December.
Our snow (which usually is fairly light and melts after only a day or two, at the very most) usually appears at some time in February... |

Snow? Yeah, we get that about once a year (if we're lucky). Usually around Feburary.
Right now we're sitting at 40F (about 4C), which to me is pretty damn cold. So naturally, I'm staying inside. _________________

@boxxle: I tried once... things did not go so well. It takes years to dig snow out of four layers of clothes.... _________________ Current Avatar commissioned work by Seiken Arts.
