Terranigma ALWAYS makes me tear up at the end during the credit roll. ALWAYS. No exceptions. |
end of lufia 2 always gets me. ending and the bit with dark elle in chapter 4 come close.
also, the song "Despair and Hope" from Grandia 2 (by Noriyuki Iwadare) is really emotional sounding. _________________

I've seen the end to Lufia 2. That was depressing.
And yeaaaaah, Despair and Hope is on one of my playlists for writing out something depressing. _________________

Sorry to rain on your parade there Jason, but the Greek for "Monster" is Tera, not Terra; they have entirely unrelated linguistic roots, but are just coincidentally pronounced the same way.
Hence why a Terabyte is a monstrous quantity of bytes, not a ground-byte. |
But Tera is of course a numerical derivative. Although I suppose you were joking. _________________ Current Avatar commissioned work by Seiken Arts.

The ending of Lufia II angered me more than it did make me cry.
However, the "Hamlet" scene from IoG always struck me as extremely heartfelt, and on occasion made me well-up. The only ending that I think actually made me cry, or at least extremely depressed was the ending to Link's Awakening. To this day, I have yet to play a game with such a depressing ending as that one.
Granted I haven't played Crisis Core, but I have played Kingdom Hearts DS, which ends almost exactly the same. (it was really sad, and knowing that it was coming didn't make it less so) _________________

It's good. However...
ONLY PLAY IT IF YOU HAVE PLAYED KH1 & KH2 AND LOVED THE F*** OUT OF THEM. There are virtually NO Disney characters and very little story. The game revolves SOLELY around Roxas, with other characters like Axel, Xion, and Riku making appearances when the plot decides to move. The gameplay is TOPNOTCH, but its not for casual fans of the series. It is more accessible than Chain of Memories, however. _________________
