Round 1: The Call to Glory
It was a rabble. That was the only way it could be fairly described. A group of men who would somehow be the heroes of this world. KaleFlame sighed, and observed the men.
True, they had been valiant in the past, but somehow their numbers were much shorter than before.
Old allegiances were broken during the chaos rift. After 360 T.D. something happened that none could remember. What had made the old alliances of the past fall?
Where were Jason Tandro, Valerie Valens, Axe Kazama, and others who had risen their swords to the aid of TerraEarth?
Why had former moderators and administrators turned indifferent... or towards the whim of evil?
But, no time to think of these things now. The secrets of the past that had mysteriously been wiped from the minds of the citizenry was not the issue at hand...
"So, we have you four..." KaleFlame nodded. "We have Freedan..."
He nodded in the direction of a blonde-haired Human, who had his arms firmly folded.
"EverPhoenix..." KaleFlame turned to the Half-Demon who was carrying a large, Ruby Staff.
"Chicken..." KaleFlame nodded in the direction of the Elf, who was looked like the most agreeable person here.
"And Nurdof..." KaleFlame bowed his head towards the Dwarf, who seemed eager to serve, at the least.
Okay, so this is perfect. We have four people, all four of whom represent the four races! And three of the four have experience fighting together from Zombie Holocaust! Little things like this make me smile!
"So. I'm sure you know why we are here," KaleFlame began.
"The promise of pay is a start," said EverPhoenix, rubbing his palms together.
KaleFlame scoffed. "Well... yes indeed. You four are the only ones who wish to raise your swords against the encroaching forces of darkness."
"We know... we've heard this 'you gotta save the world' speech before. Can we get going already?" Freedan snapped.
"Yeah, you've made us wait for a while already. Just give us the basics and let us be on our way!" Chicken barked.
Nurdof grunted his approval.
KaleFlame sighed. "Okay. Listen. We believe the only way to correct the damage done by whatever has wiped our memories clean lies in a secret store beneath the Tower of Babel. But you need 12 Data Disks to access it. You program the Elevator with these Data Disks.
One was given two the leader of each major town. There are four on each continent. Your job is to do whatever it takes to reclaim all of these Data Disks and bring them back here to me. But be careful, your journey will be fraught with enemies."
"We got it already!" Nurdof grunted. "Jeez, does this guy like to talk or what?"

@ Freedan: No, it's not a crack at you. More like a crack at how many TE residents saves the world stories I've come up with, and how it's an old hat now.
Zuruh (aka Nurdof): You can be separated. You can choose to work as a team or independent. It's your call.
All: Don't be afraid to roleplay out your answers, rather than just choose an option. And remember those are only SUGGESTED options. It's 100% free-roaming. You decide you want to go to North Cape first thing, it's your call. _________________ Current Avatar commissioned work by Seiken Arts.

Well the Quest House is the easiest way to learn about quests, yeah, but you can also get tips from people hanging around the other districts, you can head to dungeons to randomly level up by getting into fights. I am pretty lenient in what I will allow in this game.
As a matter of fact a little tip-off for you gentlemen. When people start heading to the RP Punch-Up I will create a Punch-Up Server (in RP Punch-Up) where you battle using your DnD Character stats! . But you can't fight each other (your stats and moves are designed to OP tougher enemies, versus each other it would be pretty much an instant slaughter). Instead you will get your fill of battles against enemies. You don't earn gems or items, but each successful victory nets you an automatic 5 EXP and 5 AP. _________________ Current Avatar commissioned work by Seiken Arts.

I suppose a TPK after 3 rounds would kind of suck, considering all the preparation that's gone in to it so far. _________________

Well deaths in the arena don't count as "death". You just lose the match.
Round 2: Hero 101
The Quest House was marked with an emblem that reflected the true desires of most heroes: A gold coin.
Freedan, Nurdof, EverPhoenix and Chicken walked into the Quest House and saw an old man wearing a slightly tattered robe. He was leaning heavily on his left arm as a pipe hung from the tip of his mouth.
"Sir." Freedan began.
"Hu-what?" The man stumbled, as he awoke with a start.
"Uh, sir. We are here to take on some quests," Nurdof explained.
"Ah... well let's see here..." The man pulled out a dusty tome.
"Hmm... well let's see here. The mayor needed something done about those Pirates in the cave... some durn fool kid lost his money. Sensei's been awaiting a weapons shipment... and there've been some piranha's at the shore. You know it'd be better if you read this yourself."
"Right. Well that gives us a few options. The pirates are sure to be tough, we may want to accomplish some other quests first to toughen up a bit," Chicken suggested.
"But KaleFlame warned us that other people might try to snag these disks for ill. We should secure this one as fast as possible," EverPhoenix adds.
"Oh," said the man. "Do remember that these quests update from time to time. I shall remember your faces and alert you if new quests are in the next time you revisit, but I can also wire this tome to your personal terminals."
The man hands each of them a small wireless computer, which looks like a cell phone.
"With this, you will be able to access not only my quest book, but any other quest book who syncs with you. To get them to sync you must visit the quest house first."
All members of Righteous Server have recieved their Terminals!
You'll all recieve a PM soon with your PIN to access.

I skim through the tome, scanning the posted jobs.
"A data disk... our first step. But we may be a bit out of our league right now. We're talking about pirates, and they have allies. We're not very well-equipped right now.
I'll take on the 'lost money' quest for now. If I can help them, then with any luck, they'll see fit to be generous with their reward.
Besides, it's not just the kid that'll be grateful. Helping him will help his family...." _________________

After Freedan reads through the tome, Nurdof begins reading it, looking at all the quests available.
Like all Dwarfs behave, Nurdof said, "That fool of a kid! I might as well help him get back his gems. His family will thank me, I sure hope! If they dont..."
Nurdof grunts, as all Dwarfs do.
"But I'm always happy to help a family. If they don't get back that wallet soon, they're sure to starve!"
