Help me T_T

Ok, so recently I've gotten back into King Of Fighters. Specifically 2002. I downloaded the game, as well as a few emulators to run it on. I have Kawaks and MAME32. Now, the game runs great on Kawaks, but no one in North America USES Kawaks to play online, so I have to use MAME32. Only problem is, the ROM I have that works fine on Kawaks, will not work at all on MAME32. So I'm looking for some troubleshooting/new rom file/general help you can give me so I can play this game online. Thank you!
