Leguizamo was too young to be Luigi.
I've always been under the impression that the Mario Bros. were pretty close in age. So for Hoskins to look like an approaching-middle-age Mario, and Leguizamo to be a scrawny-teen-looking Luigi just seemed awkward.
Aside from a few Mario references, you'd never know that was supposed to be a Mario movie. _________________
