Many people consider OOT the best zelda game ever because it was the first 3D zelda. While OOT was indeed awesome, I consider ALTTP my favorite because it was the first console zelda game i've ever played.

TP is a close second, though.

I got to play Zelda for the NES first. I did also play through ALTTP before OOT. I love both games, but I think my love of OOT stems from my awesomeness at it. I had three different people "hire" me to beat the game for them (Including and especially the nefarious Water Temple).
