For those of you too lazy to click the link, or read the enclosed article, here's the scoop:
-Goldeneye is being remade
-Not by Rare, though
-Pierce Brosnan is being replaced with Daniel Craigs' likeness
-Game is being built from the ground up, by 007's new game owers, EA. EDIT: Actually, my bad. It's Activision.
-Oh, and it's only for the Wii and DS. -.-;
How do you like that? _________________ "...at first it's fine and you think you have a dark side – it's exciting – and then you realise the dark side wins every time if you decide to indulge in it. This would be the equivalent of them remaking Metroid64 and replacing Samus with Brittany Spears. And the designer would be Enix. And it'd be a Turn-Based RPG. _________________ Current Avatar commissioned work by Seiken Arts.

n-Space! I have played their GCN game Giest. I love that underrated but yet unique game. I'm looking forward to that new GoldenEye. Thank god for keep it an exclusive Nintendo game.
[Edit] As for players who owned Half Life 2, you can download the Goldeneye: Source mod for free if you want real online matches. Sorry, no single-player mode yet.

I don't particularly care if they replaced Brosnan with Craig (you only ever saw Bond during end cutscenes or upon dying anyway).
And I also don't mind that it's Nintendo-exclusive, since the Wii is my preferred system.
Still, I can't shake the feeling that it won't turn out as well as it should. I want to be optimistic, but years of experience have taught me to be skeptical. _________________

We're talking an FPS on Wii or DS. Wiggle or scratch... but never shoot. _________________ Current Avatar commissioned work by Seiken Arts.

DS, not so much. But an FPS on the Wii can work just fine with enough care.
Metroid Prime 3 told me so. _________________
