Zombie Holocaust Character Creation
This is the Character Creation Thread for Zombie Holocaust Version 2.
Zombie Holocaust is a continuation of the story from Zombie Holocast Version 1. Those of you who played last time will already have step one taken care of for you.
Steps 2 and 3 you still need to do, however.
The Game Begins August 1, 2010.
Step 1: Choose a Race
Step 2: Choose Abilities
Step 3: Choose Starting Package
Previous Characters Races:
Chicken, Blade, EverPhoenix- Human
Freedan- Werewolf
Rainichan- Zombie Queen
==STEP 1: Choose a Race==
Human
They are the standard race. They seek a way to remove the undead horrors from their world.
When Zombie: Zombies are the reanimated corpses of humans. They move slow and feed on human flesh.
Starting Stats:
HP: 10
Stamina: 5
Carrying Capacity: 40 pounds
Infection: 0%
--
Vampire
Vampires have twice the health and stamina as humans. However they can only feed on blood and cannot be outdoors during daylight. For every round they are exposed to the sun, they lose 5 HP.
When Zombie: Zampires lose their natural strength and agility, but are no longer hindered by the sun.
Starting Stats:
HP: 20
Stamina: 10
Carrying Capacity: 50 pounds
Infection: 0%
--
Werewolves
Werewolves are humans who turn into a ferocious wolf during the full moon. During the full moon their HP and stamina double, but they will drop their weapon, favoring claws instead.
When Zombie: Skullwolves remain transformed at all times and must constantly feed. Their stamina drops to 2, meaning that they must always be on the hunt for fresh meat.
Starting Stats:
HP: 25
Stamina: 5
Carrying Capacity: 60 pounds
Infection: 0%
==STEP 2: Choose Abilities==
You may choose 3 of the following abilities to start with.
Assassin- 50% more likely to get the headshot on zombies.
Black Belt- Attacks with any non-gun weapon or bare hands are twice as effective.
Cook- Able to cook food, making its Stamina restoration worth 2 points instead of 1.
Doctor- An understanding of medicine. (Healing 2x effective)
Electrician- An understanding of electrical components. (Electrical Work 2x effective)
Geek- An understanding of computers and cyberspace. (Hacking 2x effective)
Here We Go Again…- HP and Stamina are doubled at the beginning. Exlcusive to people who played version 1.
Keen Senses- Can sense enemies from further away. Can avoid easier.
Medium- Can see and communicate with Ghosts.
Psychokinesis- Under certain circumstances, you can move things without touching them. (Based on HP, Stamina and Infection. The better they are, the more likely this is to work. Maximum of 50% chance.)
Religious- It’s always good to have God on your side…
Steel Nerve- Combat effectiveness is not affected by facing new enemies or surprise attacks.
Technician- An understanding of machines. (Mechanical work 2x effective)
==STEP 3: Choose Starting Package==
Package A: Man's Best Friend
Pistol (30 rounds), Holy Water (30 rounds), Flashlight, Rope
Pros: Start out with a gun and enough Holy Water to treat every round.
Cons: You begin with no food or other practical items.
Total Weight: 3
Package B: Hip to Be Square
Knife, Med Shot A (2), Power Bar (4), Flashlight, Rope
Pros: Start out with a good mix of healing supplies.
Cons: You begin with the weakest weapon.
Total Weight: 6
Package C: Middle of the Road
Baseball Bat, Power Bar (2), Med Shot A, Flashlight, Rope
Pros: Start out with a decent weapon and some food.
Cons: Nothing really extraordinary about this.
Total Weight: 4

You can change them up to and including your first move.Freedan wrote:I'll take package C for my starting supplies.
As for skills, I believe I'll take:
- Keen Senses
- Medium
- Here we go again
Though I may change my mind on those before the game starts.

Sorry for beeing late...
Of course I'll join, but it's kinda odd to start the second Holocaust game during summertime, and not around Halloween...
Looking at the new style of abilities and packages I can choose from, I hint that Zombie Holocaust has changed a bit from the original idea when you started it last fall...I hope it has some of the zombie-survivor-feeling it had during the first half of the first edition!
I created what I'd like to call the "Bear Jew" package...
- Black Belt
- Here we go again...
- Steel Nerve
- Package C (Baseball Bat!!)
...but it doesn't sound very effective to me in the later game.
Jase, a question: to me, Black Belt sounds like a waist of precious skillpoints, since I think I'm bound to get some firearms sooner or later. OR will my adventure evolve according to my skills? Like Freedans outcastmissions in episode 1? Because if not, I'll probably get the tough-guys package EP has picked...

Here are the current character sheets:
Zombie Holocaust Character Sheets:
Freedan
inferiare
EverPhoenix
Chicken
psychokind

For instance, Freedan is still an outcast werewolf and raini is still the undead queen although she is remembering who she is.
You won't be soldiers anymore. Basically there are four areas, and the military can't help you because they've been overrun. This is going to have EVEN MORE "zombie survivor" feel to it.
Just so you know, though, Black Belt doesn't just make you more effective at martial arts, but makes you stronger overall, which means you can do more athletic things.

psychokind

Just so you know, you can't use those Power Bars. Vampires can only feed on blood. So I have replaced them with Vials of Blood for you.
